Virginia Patton Moss, best known for her role as Ruth Bailey in the 1946 Christmas classic It’s a Wonderful Life , has died. She was 97.

Fans of the Christmas classic “It’s a Wonderful Life” are mourning the death of the last living adult cast member, Virginia Patton Moss.

A funeral home in Albany, Georgia, confirmed the actress’ death on Monday, writing in an obituary that she “passed peacefully of natural causes” on August 18th.
