Legendary rockstar and KISS frontman Gene Simmons was admitted to hospital this week to undergo a surgical procedure. The band is currently undergoing a farewell tour, although some dates had to be rescheduled due to this event.
Simmons was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Hospital early Tuesday morning.

Simmons underwent a procedure to get rid of kidney stones, a health issue that has plagued the rocker for some time.
In the past, Simmons had sold a kidney stone for $15,000.

Simmons is currently in recovery from this procedure, but tweeted his apologies to fans who had their shows cancelled and promised they would be rescheduled.
“Apologies to the fans in Salt Lake City. We will come back and do the show at a later date,” he said.

“The truth is, I have to fly to LA to do a medical procedure. Nothing serious. But it must be taken care of now. Thank you for your good wishes. All is well,” the tweet continued .
Fans are wishing Simmons a speedy recovery.
There’s no word yet on whether Simmons may be planning on auctioning off any of his new kidney stones, but there would likely be more than a few bidders.
