For years, John Travolta has established himself as a loving father who dotes on his family.
And while this has made the losses that family has suffered all the more heartbreaking, it’s also made the good times all the more special for him. And considering how quick he is to point out his children’s profound insights , it’s clear that they not only feel loved by him, but also respected and heard.
Of course, the life of a world-famous actor is one that could find you clocking in anywhere on the globe. But while anyone who’s traveled for business knows that it can be tough to take in your destination’s local sights when you’re there to do a job, such travels also present some unforgettable opportunities when the stars align.
So when his daughter’s 22nd birthday rolled around while they happened to be in England, the father-daughter duo found a fitting way to celebrate.
On April 3, Travolta uploaded a video to his Instagram chronicling the charming tea party he shared with his daughter Ella.

As he explained in his post , he had touched down in England to shoot a short film called The Shepherd , which is based on a book he’s long enjoyed by Frederick Forsyth.
But since Ella had just turned 22, the verdant nation also served as the perfect backdrop for some quiet yet fancy quality time with her.

In a bright tea room overlooking a lush English garden, Travolta was all smiles as he and Ella enjoyed a couple of cups of tea and tasty array of little cakes.
Because while it can be fun to throw a big birthday bash, sometimes what we really want is a nice, intimate time with the people we love the most.

And Travolta’s caption seemed to reflect that, as he said, “Happy birthday my dearest Ella! I love you so much.”
And a couple of months prior, Ella showed that she loves her dad just as strongly as he loves her.
As she wrote in an Instagram post of her own on Travolta’s birthday, “Happy Birthday to my role model, my best friend, the person who has taught me one of the most valuable lessons in life, kindness. I love you with all my heart, Daddy.”
