John Legend called out President Donald T***p for being “threatened by women” who aren’t submissive” to him, in a recent interview with NPR , as the country’s leader faces an impeachment inquiry .
John Legend did not hold back in a recent interview with NPR, calling out President Donald T***p for repeatedly lashing out at his wife, Chrissy Teigen, on social media.
Just last month President T***p tweeted , calling John Legend a “boring musician” and Chrissy, “his filthy mouthed wife”.
T***p was supposedly already feeling especially spiteful toward John and Chrissy, claiming they and other criminal justice reform advocates are “taking the praise” for legislation that the president helped pass.
“When all of the people pushing so hard for Criminal Justice Reform were unable to come even close to getting it done, they came to me as a group and asked for my help,” T***p tweeted .
“I got it done with a group of Senators & others who would never have gone for it,” he went on. “Obama couldn’t come close,”
“I SIGNED IT INTO LAW, no one else did”.
“R*********s deserve much credit. But now that it is passed, people that had virtually nothing to do with it are taking the praise.”
He then blocked Chrissy on Twitter , altogether.
“Guys like boring musician [John Legend], and his filthy mouthed wife, are talking now about how great it is,” T***p continued.
“But I didn’t see them around when we needed help getting it passed .”
“The importance or passage of Criminal Justice Reform. They only talk about the minor players, or people that had nothing to do with it,” he tweeted.
“And the people that so desperately sought my help when everyone else had failed, all they talk about now is Impeaching President T***p! “
Chrissy then tweeted, without tagging the president:
“Lol what a [expletive] [expletive] [expletive], tagged everyone but me. an honor, mister president,” she wrote .
“The absolute best part of his tweet is I literally didn’t speak in the special, nor was I mentioned,” she added.
“I’m cackling at the pointless addition of me because cannot not be a [expletive].”
At the time, John fired back, tweeting:
“Imagine being president of a whole country and spending your Sunday night hate-watching MSNBC hoping somebody–ANYBODY–will praise you .”
“Melania, please praise this man. He needs you,” he added.
While it’s no secret that John and Chrissy are not Donald T***p’s biggest supporters, John had a few more choice words to say about the president in a recent interview with NPR.
“[T***p] called her a ‘filthy-mouthed wife,’ so he called me a ‘boring singer,'” John told NPR.
“He’s blocked her in the past, and I think he’s always threatened by women that have their own voice and aren’t submissive to him .”
Chrissy has never been one to shy away from confronting trolls on social media, even if that troll happens to be the President of the United States.
“I think she’s gotten more savvy at it over the years,” John said .
John explained that Chrissy knows exactly what she’s doing.
“Because she understands, you know, if she wants to deal with those kinds of responses, she knows when they’ll come and what kind of things she could say that would either make those responses more likely or make them less likely,” he continued .
“And so, I think she’s able to kind of decide for herself how much she wants to stir things up,” he said.
“And how much she wants to just leave it alone .”
Hopefully this marks the end of the John Legend and Chrisst Teigen vs. POTUS feud.
