Joe Jonas just revealed that his and Sophie Turner’s secret , quirky, spontaneous, Vegas wedding didn’t exactly go as planned — all thanks to Diplo and his infamous Instagram live-stream.
Surely, I don’t need to remind you about Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s recent nuptials. But I’m going to anyway because let’s face it, the story never gets old.

It all went down on the eve of May 1st — the night of the Billboard Music Awards, held in Las Vegas.
Joe, Sophie, and the rest of their entourage walked into the BMAs on a mission.

They frantically handed out little black wedding invitations to everyone and anyone who would accept them.
Jophie had planned a week in advance that they were going to tie the knot after the BMAs, at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Vegas.

So although it was spontaneous by most bridal standards — there was some planning involved.
The turnout was amazing.

Country stars Dan + Shay played an acoustic version of their song “Speechless” as Sophie walked down the aisle, the pews were filled with family, friends, and random celebrities they picked up at the BMAs, and the ceremony was officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator.
And lucky for us, we got to catch all the action on Diplo’s Instagram — since he live-streamed the whole thing.

It was probably the greatest live-stream Instagram had ever seen.
But it turns out that Joe wasn’t quite as happy about it as we all were.

He and Sophie wanted their “secret wedding” to actually be a secret — and if not for Diplo streaming the entire ceremony on Instagram, it may have been.
In a recent interview with “Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp”, Joe finally opens up about his quickie Vegas wedding that fans have been raving about all month.

When asked how the wedding was, Joe replied: “it was lit.”
Short and to the point, I like it.
“Diplo ruined it for you though,” the interviewer asked.

“Diplo did. Yeah, he ruined it,” Joe responded.
He then dragged Diplo for being obsessed with social media — comparing him to a teenager.

“I love Diplo, but he loves his ‘gram more than a 13-year-old,” he said.
“He posts every five seconds. He literally, like, live-streamed with dog-face filters,” he added.

Basically describing the annoying type of person who is constantly on their phone.
Fans definitely found it odd that not one of the Jonas brothers posted anything about the wedding on Instagram — but that Diplo did.

But we’re all grateful that he kept us in the loop.
Sorry, not sorry, Joe.
But Joe explained that he isn’t holding a grudge — he actually finds it funny.

“We just laughed, we loved it,” Joe said . “We thought it was ridiculous.”
He admitted that he loved Diplo’s video commentary as well.

“I just love that he was walking into the chapel and he was like, ‘going to hit this wedding real quick,’ [in his Instagram Story].”
Joe then revealed that he and Sophie are planning a honeymoon.

“We’ve got plans that we’ll be hush-hush about,” he said — implying he wants to keep those details private.
Anyways, Jophie learned a valuable lesson the hard way: If you want something to be a secret, don’t invite Diplo.
