There is no denying our furry friends become part of our family and their unconditional love is unmatched.
Anyone who has lost a pet knows the complete and total devastation that comes with their passing and the inevitable hole their loss leaves in our hearts.
The loss of a pet is even more devastating if it comes as unexpected as it did for Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner.

Their dog Waldo Picasso Jonas was tragically killed last week in a devastating accident while on a walk with the couple’s trusted dog walker.
The pair had adopted Waldo back in April of 2018.

Waldo joined the company of the couple’s first dog and fellow Alaskan Klee Kai, Porky Basquiat Jonas.
Porky’s Instagram posted about the exciting day, “I’d like to make an announcement. Me, my parents and I have adopted my actual brother from the same litter.”

“Please welcome my little brother @waldopicassojonas.”
Last Wednesday, Waldo managed to escape his leash after being spooked by a pedestrian and ran onto the streets of Lower Manhattan where he was struck by a car.

The driver neglected to stop and promptly fled the scene.
July has been a whirlwind time for the couple, who just got married earlier this month and had been honeymooning in the Maldives.

Neither Joe nor Sophie had commented on the tragedy until last night.
Their silence was broken with NYC tattoo artist DRAGON.

Joe and Sophie chose to honor the life of their puppy in the form of matching arm tattoos.
“R.I.P. my little angel,” Joe wrote on his Instagram.
“I miss you, Waldo,” Sophie wrote on the picture for her Instagram story.

“Rest in peace my little baby.”
We’re sending you big hugs and lots of love, Joe and Sophie.

What a beautiful way to forever remember your sweet, angel puppy.
