Dame Joan Collins is certainly a household name for any lover of soap operas or high drama, and when it was announced that the 89-year-old star had been airlifted to a hospital, fans around the world were of course worried for her health . The star has provided an update on social media in classic Joan Collins fashion.

The Golden Globe, People’s Choice, Soap Opera Digest, and Primetime Emmy Award winner is best known for her work on the soap opera Dynasty , but has appeared in hits like American Horror Story, Gerry, The Royals, and The Flintstones over her long career.
It was confirmed by Page Six that Joan was recently airlifted to a hospital while on vacation in Monaco.
Page Six reported that a friend of Joan’s confirmed she had been “airlifted to a hospital in Monte Carlo” this week after suffering a pinched nerve, but that “she’s back home in St. Tropez and is walking around,” they said.
“She’s 89 and is still walking around in six-inch heels,” the friend added.
Joan commented on the matter herself on her Instagram page, sharing a photo of herself on a yacht. “Enjoying a great day out, one week before I had to go to the Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco for a trapped nerve in my leg. Not fun! But they were great!” she captioned the shot .
Her comments section was flooded with friends and fans sending her well wishes.
“Happy to see you’re on the mend… you’ll be dancing again soon,” one commenter wrote.
“Beautiful as always! Sorry to hear about your trapped nerve. I believe it’s very painful. Hope you’re feeling better now,” added another.
