Jennifer Lopez is spilling one of her biggest beauty secrets, and no, it’s not a product that you can buy.
The actress and pop superstar is 53 but looks two decades younger, with skin that’s so incredibly smooth and glowy. Some might say that’s because she has access to all the beauty products she could ever need (in fact, she owns an entire skincare line), but one of her biggest secrets – to quote her famous song – actually “don’t cost a thing.”

Biggest Beauty Tip
In a video she created for Vogue , the Marry Me actress guides us through her skincare and makeup routine. While it comes with a long list of products, one of the most important steps is something you don’t need to buy, and all of us can – and want – to do.
“One of my biggest beauty secrets is sleep,” she says in the clip, where she’s looking all fresh and glowy in gray lingerie, with her hair in a tight top knot.
How Many Hours?
Lopez even gets detailed about the number of hours you need. We all know more is better, but she has come up with a hack in case getting the full eight hours is impossible.
“One of my tricks for when I can’t get enough sleep, there’s a certain amount of hours that I feel like you can sleep before your face falls asleep,” she says. “And so it’s either under four or over seven, that’s my rule.”

Now if you want to go full JLo, the complete video uploaded to Vogue ’s YouTube channel is pretty detailed, including her skincare tricks for prepping the face, her contouring hacks, her makeup routine, her body regimen (which she says is just as important as the face), and even how she sets up the room with scented candles and the affirmations she recites before she proceeds with glam.
‘It Starts With Your Skin’
Of course, the Jenny From the Block singer uses a lot of products from her own JLo Beauty brand, including the cleanser, moisturizing sunscreen, serum, eye cream, booty balm, body serum, and body cream. But apparently, she’s a fan of other labels as well, like NARS, Fenty, and Make Up For Ever, among others.
However, she stresses the importance of beauty from within, saying, “It starts with your skin, and it starts with how kind of rested and happy you are.”
