Ortega’s mother, Natalie — who is an ER nurse — didn’t take her daughter smoking lightly. She hopped on Instagram and posted a series of memes and infographics to her stories discussing the serious dangers of smoking, and how we should surround ourselves with people who tell the truth.
She roasted Jenna alive
The first meme Natalie posted on her Instagram stories was one of Gollum from The Lord of the Rings with a caption that read: “Don’t believe those lies about cigarettes being bad for you. I’ve been smoking for most my 21 years and I feel great!”
The other stories addressed the serious dangers of smoking
Natalie addressed the harms of smoking and how the smoke’s smell is “repulsive.” The stories concluded with a quote by Toan Lam that read:
“NO MATTER who you are and how big you get, always SURROUND YOURSELF with people who will tell you the TRUTH.”
A mother is always a mother
The stories also concluded with a final heart-warming sentiment that read: “A mother is always a mother. She never stops worrying about her children, even when they are all grown up and have children of their own.” At the end of the day, Natalie is a mother that cares about her children.

One user wrote: “This is the most mom thing ever hahaha,” and the majority of the posts were talking about how “this is just classic passive aggressive mum stuff.” In addition, people found her relatable as people can see their moms “doing this exact thing.”

A user had some good insight, saying: “It could be that she understands many look up to her daughter and will possibly be influenced by her behavior as she’s reached many young people post-Addams fame. Maybe if she can’t get her daughter to stop, she at least wants to try and deinfluence teens and young adults who might try and emulate her? Just a thought.”
Not the first time that Natalie has gone viral
Ortega’s mother also went viral in April 2023 where she shared an Instagram post of her two daughters, Jenna and her sister, Mia, who pursued a career in medicine, for their success. It was a picture of both of them side by side with a sweet caption.

The mother talked proudly about her two daughters, saying: “Two of my girls wearing very different outfits and doing very different things in life,” she continued with her post, saying: “Both came from me, and both raised by me. I’m equally proud of both of them and love them very much #proudmom.”
