Jenna Dewan has shared a handy “toolbox” of tips and tricks to manage anxiety, speaking about her rituals around maintaining good mental health and seemingly hoping that others might find it of benefit.

The actress, dancer, and Dancing With the Stars alum spoke to New Beauty back in March 2022.

“That’s really what it is. I look at it like a toolbox I have; I know certain habits and rituals I can do that help me release anxiety and feel the joy. It’s not a one-size-fits-all. There’s not one thing I can do, but I know a few things that help me,” she said.
Upping Her Self-Care
The ex to Channing Tatum continued that the obvious one is “self-care,” saying: it’s “basically doing anything that makes me feel better about myself. A relaxing bath with sea salt, a self-care ritual, my beauty rituals…things like that really lift my mood.”
Moving Her Body
Jenna also spoke of moving her body, with the result being that it gets her “out” of her “head.” She loves workouts, dancing, heading out for a hike, and walking her dogs. Basically, anything outdoors gets the seal of approval from her.
It’s About Serving Your Body
Jenna noted that her anxiety can spike. In such instances, she isn’t serving her body well, so there’s a “direct link” for her – embodiment lowers her sympathetic nervous system’s activity and breathing also helps.
Here, she again listed dancing, plus swimming – many find the water to be of benefit for calming anxiety.
She’s A Beauty Junkie!
The glam queen might not use cosmetics to lower her anxiety, but she loves them anyway.
“I am a total beauty junkie, and I’ve always called myself a frustrated aesthetician. If there’s an oil, I’ve tried it. If there’s a facial, I’ve done it. I love all that kind of stuff,” she also revealed.
