Former Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans has stayed consistent in the media spotlight lately after her three children were removed from her home following an incident in which her husband, David Eason, shot the family’s dog.
Now she’s making headlines again while she fights to regain custody of her kids after coming forward to say her relationship with her mother, Barbara Evans, is “destroyed”, Us Weekly reported.
Barbara currently has custody of two of Jenelle’s children, Ensley and Jace.
Jenelle’s other child, 4-year-old son Kaiser, is currently in the care of his father, Jenelle’s ex Nathan Griffith.
The children were recently removed from 27-year-old Jenelle’s care after Eason allegedly shot and killed their dog, Nugget, back in May.

He has since come forward to defend his actions and insist that he shot the dog after it bit 2-year-old Ensley in the face.
Eason posted a video of the dog being aggressive towards Ensley as well as a photo of her scratched face.

“Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me,” he wrote. “You can hate me all you want but this isnt [sic] the first time the dog bit Ensley aggressively. The only person that can judge wether [sic] or not a animal is a danger to MY CHILD is ME.”
A judge has temporarily ruled that Jenelle and Eason will not regain custody of her children.
According to People , the couple are currently working with the court to try and get the children back into their care.
“At this time we are cooperating with the judge and legal team from court,” a representative for Jenelle said in a statement last week.

“We have no comment at this time and appreciate the concerns regarding out client and her children. We will continue to cooperate with the court and their decision.”
Jenelle and her mother, who has had custody of 9-year-old Jace since he was a baby, have had a contentious relationship.

Since the summer of 2018, the two appeared to have reconciled and even shared several posts on social media together, seemingly in the process of rebuilding their relationship. However, the events with Jenelle and Eason have apparently caused a riff between her and her mother again, leading Jenelle to say her relationship with her mother is “destroyed.”
The two recently got into a verbal altercation outside of the courthouse while Jenelle reconnected with daughter Ensley.

While Jenelle held her daughter in her arms outside of a North Carolina courthouse on June 4, Barbara was caught on video accusing the mom of using her toddler as a prop, and only embracing her for the cameras that were present.
“I’m right here outside the courthouse, I’m giving my daughter a hug,” Jenelle says in the video. “If you have a problem with it…then go get an officer. Because obviously she’s not scared.”
In the same video, Jenelle tells the cameras that Barbara has blocked her number.
Now, in an interview with US Weekly , Jenelle has spoken out against her mom and announced that their relationship has been seriously affected by the custody battle.
“I do feel like my relationship with my mom is destroyed at this point.”
Jenelle went on to say she has “no idea” why her mom accused her of using Ensley for the cameras.
“I believe my mom is saying anything at his point to make herself feel better,” she said. “It might all boil down to jealously.”
She added, “This isn’t a way a mother should be treating her daughter. She fights so hard for my sister and my brother when they are the ones with major issues, not me.”
According to Jenelle, a new judge has been assigned to their custody case.
She told US Weekly that “court was continued for now until the end of the month.”
Although reports have claimed the couple are no longer pusuing custody of Eason’s daughter from a previous relationship, Maryssa, Jenelle explained these are false, and they’re trying to get all of their children home again.
