Things continue to heat up in the aftermath of David Eason’s killing of Nugget, the beloved French bulldog he shared with wife Jenelle Evans.
Jenelle is one of the stars of Teen Mom 2 and has three children: Jace (9), Kaiser (4), and Ensley (2).
It started with a nip caught on video.

David originally posted it on Instagram, but has since deleted it. In it, you can see Ensley lean in to kiss Nugget, who nips back.
From what little we see, Nugget appears to already be stressed out and upset before Ensley tries to kiss her.
A photo of her cheek shows that Ensley has a red spot, but no skin was broken.

Jenelle told US Weekly , “He just took her and shot her in the woods … about two acres away from the house.”
While David defends his action as protecting his family, Jenelle posted a heartbroken memorial to Nugget.
People have defended David’s actions, saying that they’d protect their children too, but there’s a difference between re-homing a dog that doesn’t fit within the family or giving it up to a shelter, and shooting it.
His reaction seems extreme.
The fallout of the incident came swiftly.

On May 7, 2019, MTV announced that it was cutting ties with Jenelle and she wouldn’t be featured in any more seasons of Teen Mom 2 .
Then on May 13, 2019, it was revealed that sons Jace and Kaiser had been removed from the home.

Nine-year-old Jace is in the custody of his grandmother Barbara Evans, but Columbus County Child Protective Services has barred him from visiting his mother’s home after the incident.
Four-year-old Kaiser is currently staying with his dad, Nathan Griffith. Neither boy will be allowed on the Eason property until the investigation is complete.
When that news broke, people were quick to ask “What about Ensley?”
It seems like CPS had an easier job protecting the boys due to the complicated custody arrangements with Jenelle’s mom and Kaiser’s dad.
But the Sheriff’s Office says their hands are tied unless Jenelle makes a formal complaint against David, who has been very vocal about his opinion about law enforcement officials trespassing on his land.
Now there are reports that CPS is planning to remove Ensley from the home — or that she already has been.

According to TMZ , CPS is planning to place Ensley in the temporary custody of Barbara Evans.
However, a social media account claiming to belong to Jenelle’s sister says that Ensley has already been secured.

Sister Ashleigh Evans Wilson denies that she posted anything about the incident at all.
So while we don’t know for sure yet whether Ensley has been removed from the home, it seems like plans are imminent.

Which makes sense, as the Columbus County Sheriff’s Dept. reportedly considers David “the most dangerous person [they’ve] seen in the 3 counties.”
Hopefully we’ll hear confirmation that Ensley is safe and sound soon.
