After a run of more than four decades, the Halloween film series is coming to an end. It’s one of the most iconic horror series of all time, and will forever be associated with its star, Jamie Lee Curtis .
Curtis is reflecting on the series that’s helped shape her career while sharing some interesting tidbits about her life: namely, how do celebs know when they’re texting with a friend and not a stalker?
The upcoming film, ‘Halloween Ends’, comes out this month.
The title indicates that this is the definitive conclusion of the franchise that began all the way back in 1978 with the release of Halloween . There have been a whopping 13 films in the series.
Curtis has roles in eight of the films.
She plays the role of Laurie Strode in seven Halloween films, while she could be heard — but not seen — as the voice of a telephone operator in 1982’s Halloween III: Season of the Witch .
It’s been a busy year for Curtis.

Fresh off of an appearance in the critically acclaimed Everything Everywhere All at Once , Curtis will reprise her role as Laurie Strode for (presumably) the final time with the release of Halloween Ends .
She shared some thoughts on being a celebrity.
In a wide-ranging interview with Rolling Stone , Curtis told the interviewer how she handles random text messages purporting to be from a celebrity.
“I understand there’s a lot of [BS] out in the world, and a lot of fakery, and people pretending to be people,” she said.
It’s all about asking the right questions.
“So, I have secret questions,” Curtis explained. “I go to my secret question right away so that, if they answer it, I know it’s them. And if they don’t, I know it’s a fishing expedition.”
We need an example.
Curtis used the example of getting a text from her Freaky Friday co-star Lindsay Lohan, joking that she’d have to change the answer after revealing it in an interview. The key to these questions is that they ask about an anecdote that only two people are likely to know.
Curtis and Lohan tried to rap.

“My question, up until today, for Lindsay is, ‘What was the song that we were both trying to learn the rap to in the car when we were shooting the car scene?'” Curtis said. “And that would be the Justin Timberlake song, ‘Like I Love You.'”
She has a routine for Daniel Craig, too.

Craig and Curtis both appeared in Knives Out .
“If for some reason Daniel texted me, I would say, ‘What was the last gift you gave me?'” she said. “But I’m not going to tell you what it is, because then I would have to change that with him. It’s something only he would know.”
It’s an interesting way to weed out the spam.
Just about everyone deals with unwanted phone calls and texts from time to time, and this can only increase as a person’s celebrity grows. Curtis definitely has a seemingly foolproof method for learning someone’s identity in short order.
