They just don’t make them like JLC anymore!
There are very few celebrities t hat make us laugh and always seem to be as genuine as possible in everything they say or do, but Jamie Lee Curtis is definitely one of those celebrities. I think I could listen to her read the phone book and be just as entertained as I would be watching pretty much any show on TV these days.
Jamie Lee Curtis always keeps it real.
One of the reasons we love her so much is that you know that if she has something to say, she’s going to say it, and she never says anything that she doesn’t mean!
Of course, this philosophy applies to her approach to aging, plastic surgery, and her body.
“Don’t mess with your face,” Jamie recently said about plastic surgery.
“I did plastic surgery,” Jamie revealed . “I put Botox in my head. Does Botox make the big wrinkle go away? Yes. But then you look like a plastic figurine.”
She kept the same energy when talking about her character in the recent hit film Everything, Everywhere All At Once .
“When people want love and don’t get love, it hardens you,” Jamie said.
“I know a lot of women who go home alone, and it breaks my heart – I know how soft they are, I know how much they long for connection and affection and contact with another human being,” she said of her character, who dresses a bit frumpily and with a potbelly, which some assumed was a prosthetic.
Jamie was clear that was all her, though.

“I said I would like to not be sucking my stomach in for the entire movie, because I’m a 64-year-old woman,” Jamie said of the film. “All I’m interested in is freedom as a performer, and I don’t get that opportunity very often. But the times I’ve been able to be free, I’m on fire.”
We hope she gets to be free as much as she wants!
