As much as we love to hear about celebrities being great people , it can be hard to resist the stories about them behaving badly .
Actor and comedian James Corden found himself in hot water after a restaurant owner named Keith McNally took to Instagram to call out his behavior at one of McNally’s restaurants, Balthazar. In a series of dramatic Instagram posts, McNally has shared both the accusations against Corden and his response.
Keith McNally shared an Instagram post Monday evening calling out the late night host.
“James Corden is a Hugely gifted comedian, but a tiny Cretin of a man. And the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago. I don’t often 86 a customer, to today I 86’d Corden. It did not make me laugh,” McNally wrote .
McNally then shared two reports of Corden’s behavior.
In the first incident, after finding a hair in his food “although this is diabolical, it happens very occasionally in all restaurants” McNally explained that Corden was “extremely nasty” to the manager and demanded a free round of drinks so he wouldn’t write “nasty reviews on Yelp.”
In the second , McNally writes that after Corden’s server made a mistake with his wife’s order, Corden “began yelling like crazy server: ‘You can’t do your job! You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself!'”
[The manager] said that Corden was pleasant to him but nasty to the server.
In a second post, McNally wrote that “James Corden just called me and apologized profusely.”
“Having [explicit] up myself more than most people, I strongly believe in second chances. So if James Corden lets me host his Late Late Show for 9 months, I’ll immediately rescind his ban from Balthazar,” McNally joked .
“No, of course not.”
“But….anyone magnanimous enough to apologize to a deadbeat layabout like me (and my staff) doesn’t deserve to be banned from anywhere. Especially Balthazar. So Come Back to the 5 & Dime, Jimmy Corden, Jimmy Corden. All is Forgiven. xx”
