Fans of the cult classic film School of Rock are mourning the loss of one of the film’s stars Kevin Clark after the 32-year-old was killed tragically this past week.
Now, Kevin’s co-star and friend Jack Black is paying tribute to the actor and musician in an emotional new post on Instagram that has already gone viral.
Fans of *School Of Rock* will remember Kevin Clark as the school band’s drummer, Freddy “Spazzy McGee” Jones.
His palpable passion for music continued on into his adult life.
In fact, Kevin recently formed a band that made their inaugural performance this past weekend.
Kevin’s mother, Allison Clark, told the *Chicago Sun Times* that her son was finally finding his pace in life.
“He told his bandmates just yesterday: You know, this is finally the life I want to live. And we’re going to make it. You’re my musical family — my family — and we’re all going to make it,” she told the publication.
“He loved music. He’s just a raw talent. He’s got a heart of gold,” Allison added.
Tragedy struck on Wednesday as Kevin was struck and killed while cycling through a notoriously busy intersection in Chicago.
Now, Kevin’s *School of Rock* co-star Jack Black is paying tribute to his friend on social media.
“Devastating news. Kevin is gone. Way too soon,” the 51-year-old wrote. “Beautiful soul. So many great memories. Heartbroken. Sending love to his family and the whole School of Rock community.”
