Hugh Jackman’s kids, Oscar, 24, and Ava, 19, are still trying to cope with their parents’ split. Jackman, 56, split from his now ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, 69, a year ago.
Now, Jackman is rumored to be dating Sutton Foster, 49, a change the kids are struggling with.

The kids’ mixed feelings
A source said the kids have “mixed feelings” about their father dating Foster and welcoming her into the family.
They also feel guilty that getting too close would betray their mother, who is already hurt by the split.
Hoping for smoother waters
The source also said that despite the messy situation, he hopes that “time heals all wounds” and their holiday won’t be chaotic. He hopes to enter the new year peacefully with the least damage possible.
Jackman is with the kids
Jackman is currently in Australia with his kids, celebrating Christmas. It is unclear whether Furness will join the family in the celebration.
In addition, Foster won’t be with the family as she is in Los Angeles performing in the Once Upon A Mattress stage production.
Their new-found romance
The couple are being private about their relationship. However, their relationship reached a new milestone when Jackman met Foster’s adopted daughter, Emily, who was seven.
“Hugh has met Sutton’s daughter Emily – she even calls him ‘Uncle Hugh’!” a source told New Idea.
Furness is far from happy
It is claimed that Furness is “seething with rage” over her ex’s newly-found relationship, especially since she feels like she’s the last to know. The former couple separated in September 2023, and things are still rocky between them.
Furness detests Jackman’s company
As per the RadarOnline report, Furness is not content with Jackman’s new friends, Ryan Reynolds, and his wife Blake Lively. The couple knew about Jackman’s blossoming relationship without telling her “out of loyalty to Hugh.”
How Jackman and Sutton met
Jackman and Foster were co-stars, playing the roles of Harold Hill and Marian Paroo, respectively, in The Music Man. It ran from February 2022 until January 2023 at the Winter Garden Theatre in Manhattan.
In addition, they have attended public events together. However, Jackman’s split from Furness came as a shock to everyone.
Their joint statement
The former husband and wife released a joint statement announcing their split, saying: “We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”
Things were supposed to be amicable
Though Jackman’s and Furness’s split seemed amicable, it might have all been an act. The fact that she felt extremely enraged by Jackman’s rumored relationship speaks volumes, as there might still be some unfinished business between them.
Foster also filed for divorce
Foster filed for an uncontested divorce from her husband Ted Griffin last October in New York County Supreme Court. The couple unfortunately split after 10 years of marriage. Now, Foster may have found her new safe haven with Jackman.
