Heartbreak Of The Century
The couple’s marriage reportedly ended due to Lange having an affair with Marie-Anne Thiébaud, the singer’s friend. Marie-Anne was married to Frédéric Thiébaud, a well-known businessman who was employed for Nestlé at the time.

Shania had to inquire if Marie-Anne believed something was wrong with him after he declined to explain his motivation for wanting to dissolve their 14-year marriage. However, Shania was unaware of Mutt and Marie’s relationship as Frederic brought it to her notice that her husband had been cheating on her with her best friend.
Finding Love Again
Shania was devastated when she learned of the affair. Twain and Thiébaud, 52, got married on New Year’s Day 2011 after she finalized her divorce in 2010, a decision she wasn’t sure she’d ever make. In 2009, the two began a formal relationship; a year later, they got engaged. 2011 saw the two exchange vows on New Year’s Day.
