It’s been over a year since Bob Saget ‘s sad passing, but his widow, Kelly Rizzo, is keeping his legacy alive through close communication with his former Full House stars. The food and travel blogger hosted a Q&A on her Instagram story where she spilled all the tea.

Rizzo Considers Herself Lucky
Rizzo added a heartfelt caption saying her heart is still heavy but she’s accepted her new reality. Despite getting sad at the old pictures and videos, Rizzo considers herself the luckiest person for experiencing life with Saget.

Rizzo described life with Saget as one filled with laughter, warmth, brilliance, and love from him and his daughters. The travel blogger highlighted Saget’s philanthropic acts saying,

Rizzo said Saget won at life for making the world a better place which many people wouldn’t be able to do even if they lived “1,000 lifetimes.”
Using His Favorite Song
Rizzo used Saget’s favorite song, The Luckiest by Ben Folds, as the memorial montage’s soundtrack and ended her note with a joke saying her late husband would’ve balked at the decision to show PDA in the video.

Saget Died Of A Head Injury

Saget died of a head injury last year after Orange County police found him dead in his hotel room at the Ritz Carlton. His family filed a claim against the department for prematurely announcing Saget’s death before informing them.
No Foul Play In The Cause Of His Death
The Orange County police department ruled out foul play from his cause of death because the comedian suffered from a skin disease condition called Scleroderma.
Where His Funeral was Held
His family held a funeral at Mt. Sinai Memorial Park Cemetery and his former Full House castmates attended the procession.
His Sister Died Of Scleroderma
According to AAD, Scleroderma shows up through hardened skin. It’s an autoimmune disease that’s often genetic. Saget’s sister Gay died of the disease years before his diagnosis.
Saget And His Family Contributed To Scleroderma Research
Saget’s friends and family contributed to Scleroderma research in his honor. Before his death, the actor also supported the cause.
Effect of Scleroderma
Although Scleroderma attacks the skin in mild cases, there are severe symptoms when the disease spreads to other body parts. It can get to the heart and cause congestive heart failure or the kidneys or lungs.
His Unexpected Passing
Saget passed away tragically and unexpectedly one year ago in January.
