Going to Disney World is a right of passage for many people. It’s a childhood staple for many children who get to go for the first time with their families . And, as they grow older, they continue reliving those fantastic memories and experiences until they eventually grow old enough to bring their own children there . However, Disney World can be pretty expensive if you don’t plan right.
Disney World has so many amenities for people to enjoy.
The place is the most “magical place on Earth” after all. There is much more to do than one would think—it’s more than just amusement park rides and Disney characters.
One thing people love to do is go to Disney restaurants with their families.
Going out to dinner is something that many people enjoy doing together, especially with their family. But, eventually, things can get a bit expensive. So, it’s important to plan smart.
Recently, one former Disney employee shared which restaurants are worth going to.

Kayleigh Price worked at Disney World for two years and she went there frequently growing up. Of course, she has tons of insight on where to dine and what is worth the high price.
If you have kids, Crystal Palace is worth the trip.
The restaurant is an all-you-can-eat buffet located in Magic Kingdom. Price shares she has gone for both breakfast and dinner and it’s been great for both meals. Plus, you get to see some of your favorite characters along the way like Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet.
Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ is Southern cooking at its best, Price says.
If you love southern cooking and BBQ-type food, going to Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ is worth the trip. Located in Disney Springs, Price says they have biscuits and gravy, chicken and dumplings, mac and cheese, and other Southern staples.
California Grill is expensive, but worth it, the former employee says.
Price says if you are going to Disney World and looking to budget, it may not be prudent to go to California Grill. But, if you can swing it, it’s worth it. A pro-tip is to go around the time Magic Kingdom has their fireworks show because you can see it while you eat!
Ohana is another expensive choice, but worth the splurge.
Price shares Ohana, which is located in the Polynesian Resort, may be pricey but it’s worth the bill. It’s all-you-can-eat for breakfast and dinner and serves some pretty fantastic food such as dumplings, noodles, and chicken wings.
Be Our Guest is great for any “Beauty and the Beast” lovers.
Right out of the Disney classic, the restaurant is perfect for any fan of the movie, Price says. For dinner, you get a three-course, prix-fixe menu with appetizers, entrées, and desserts. And, you get to meet the Beast during dinner.
You can also meet more characters at Garden Grill.
Price says located in Epcot, it’s right by the Living With the Land ride. Special guests come around and join you while you eat, such as Mickey, Chip, and Dale. The food is apparently close to Thanksgiving, too, and who doesn’t love that?
But, her favorite is Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.
Price states that the dining establishment located at Fort Wilderness campgrounds is her favorite because it has dinner and a show all in one. The music and entertainment is unmatched and she says she always leaves with a full belly that hurts from laughing so hard.
Don’t forget, going to Disney takes some serious planning!

As Price shares, it’s clear that going to Disney World is an experience unlike no other. But, if you plan to go, you want to make sure you budget and plan ahead. Don’t forget to make reservations — these places book up quickly!
