You know when you see something strange , fascinating , or kind of cool , and you can’t help but stare at it for a little while? Well, that was me with pretty much every image in this list.
No matter how these images make you feel, you might find yourself looking at them for a little while. They’re definitely sights to see.
This super long hotel room with three queen sized beds.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but hotel rooms don’t usually have three beds in them period, let alone three queen-sized beds. This is one long room, and it’ll probably be super crowded, too.
I wonder if it would be more or less expensive than a regular room.
This brick that has a huge plant growing out of it.
Plants seriously grow out of the most random things. This plant literally grew out of a brick. A brick ! I didn’t even know you could grow any kind of plant out of bricks.
Then again, plants are nothing if not persistent.
This zoo meerkat on the inside looking out.
This meerkat looks like it’s deep in thought about something. I wonder what a meerkat would be thinking about. Probably when its next meal would be.
Or maybe it’s silently judging all the zoo-goers that come around and stare back at it.
The way this cat is sleeping.
There’s something really satisfying about this sleeping cat. It’s like it’s a cat circle or something.
Should we be worried about the way the cat has its entire back bent like that? Probably not. Cats defy logic and physics and bend themselves in weird ways all the time.
“Antique vending machine. Apparently you had to pull levers to make your choice back in the day.”
This vending machine is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. I’ve never seen one where you have to pull levers to make it work. Thank goodness they don’t make them like this anymore.
This group of monarch chrysalises.
This must be one popular spot for caterpillars to transform into butterflies. I’m willing to bet that the caterpillar there is about to join its chrysalis buddies.
I seriously can’t stop staring. You rarely get to see one monarch chrysalis, let alone a group of 4 (soon to be 5).
“Water main burst and made bubbles in the asphalt!”
As much as this concerns me, it’s also really fascinating to just look at. The fact that the road is so sturdy, water filling up the space underneath it doesn’t immediately break it apart? That’s actually super cool.
But, uh, maybe don’t drive on it.
“What 4 years of daily wear looks like, comparatively.”
To be honest, the old boots don’t look like they’re in super bad shape. Obviously no one should wear them anymore. But if that’s the amount of damage they take after four years ? They’re probably super good quality.
I wonder how long it’ll take before the new ones start to show wear and tear.
“This is Opie, my Alaskan Husky. He is a good boi but his winter coat change is hard on my vacuum.”
Opie is, in fact, a good boi. But having a dog that sheds this much? That must be a lot of work. All the sweeping and vacuuming that would have to be done every time this boy walks around the house… I don’t want to think about it.
A murder of crows and a donut.
The fact that a group of crows is called a murder may be slightly unsettling, but there’s something a bit funny about this picture. It might be the fact that it’s slightly out of focus, or maybe the fact that these birds are all standing around a donut.
This ginger root that looks a lot like a lobster.
Have ginger roots always looked like lobsters and I’m only just noticing now?
Look, it has two claws, and a long body that gets a bit thinner at the opposite end. All it’s missing is a tail, and it could be the real deal.
“This tattoo removal place I passed with a sense of humor.”
The thing about tattoos is that they’re permanent. You really want to think about what you put on your body and where you’re going to get it done, unless you like having a tattoo riddled with spelling mistakes, or one that’s horribly drawn.
But with this removal place, you don’t have to have a single regret.
“The frost on my ice glove looks like a cat.”
This is giving me that uncanny valley feeling. It looks so much like a cat without actually being a cat. Also, it’s creepy. The eyes look hollow and lifeless, and it has a weird vibe to it.
So why can’t I stop staring at it?
This slightly ominous fortune.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure that if I ever found a fortune like this in my fortune cookie, I’d probably start to panic. The lack of context is what’s doing it for me.
You really have to wonder what they meant by those two words. Why are we not supposed to panic?
This cat that’s showing off its incredible sense of balance.
Cats can pretty much do anything. That means they can just stand on wire fences and keep their balance perfectly.
I swear, sometimes it feels like cats aren’t real animals. They defy logic way too much to make any sense.
“Saw a hummingbird moth for the first time in ten years.”
First of all, I didn’t know hummingbird moths were a thing. But now that I do, I’m really glad that I got to see one (even if it’s just a picture of one).
What a pretty bug! For once, it’s actually not disgusting or terrifying!
“This toy truck is strapped to a flatbed on the interstate.”
Must be a slow business day for that truck, if it has the time to strap nothing but a toy dump truck for kids. Which is kind of cool, but you have to admit that it’s really strange, too.
Hopefully it got to where it was going, though.
This mussel that had a little surprise inside.
I guess tiny crabs like to make homes for themselves in mussel shells? That kind of sucks for them, though, since mussels are caught regularly for food.
It also must suck for the people who order mussels at a restaurant only to find a tiny, inedible crab in there.
“My hotel used to be a prison.”
I’d feel kind of weird about staying in a hotel that used to be a prison. But it also seems kind of cool? It would definitely be an experience, that’s for sure.
The decor isn’t horrible, but you can tell they were working with what they had.
“The pollen fell out of my flower, creating a ring on my countertop.”
Without a bee to grab all that pollen, I guess it just ends up falling to the ground. Hopefully no one in this house has any allergies, because that amount of pollen would be killer if it got into the air.
