Eva Mendes moved to Australia recently with her family and has since immersed herself in the country’s traditions, including forgoing Thanksgiving. However, these bright floral dresses prove the actress is still in her Spring/Summer mood.
It’s nice to see Mendes out again, and we hope this is a herald for her return to the big screen in person, not just a voice role! (P.S. Disney, please call her; she’ll only do family movies now!) How can she not be with the beautiful greenery in Australia and bright blue skies?
A Forever Spring/Summer Mood
We can’t get enough of this Leolin dress she wore anticipating the annual McHappy Day celebration. It was a nude casual dress with multicolored floral prints matching the McHappy Day hands (red, yellow, green, and blue) shared for the celebration.
Mendes paired it with a black waist-cinching belt and nude platform heels sandals while she wore her light brown hair in a curly wave. The actress accessorized lightly with gold hoop earrings.
Celebrating McHappy Day
For the main celebration, Mendes wore another colorful dress, a wrapped silk kimono-styled outfit from Oroton. She wore floral Christian Louboutin block-heeled platform sandals and brown sunglass for her sunny outdoor event.
Like her pre-McHappy Day look, Mendes kept her accessories simple by wearing only nude drop earrings.
According to her Instagram caption, it was the second time Mendes wore that combo, although she wore wedges this time. McHappy Day is a fundraiser for seriously ill and injured children.
Life In Australia
Mendes sat down with Daily Mail Australia to discuss life in Sydney since moving to Australia with her family. She enjoys living in Australia because her celebrity status there isn’t as prominent as in her home country, the USA.
Mendes doesn’t know whether she’ll spend Christmas in the country or travel home with her family. She even forgot about Thanksgiving and didn’t plan on preparing for it! So, she can do everyday things with her children (Esmeralda, eight, and Amada, six) without fearing paparazzi or worse super fans.
The Best & Worst Part Of Living In Australia

When asked about her “not so least favorite thing about Australia,” Mendes mentioned the Huntsman Spiders. Australia is famous for having unique species of animals and insects roaming around communities unchecked.
Mendes loves the Northern Beaches, though, especially since she could go with Ryan Gosling and their daughters. Meanwhile, Gosling is filming The Fall Guy, and there are rumors of The Gray Man sequel featuring him.
