Chapelle Brings Musk Out On Stage
Chappelle brought Elon Musk out on stage at a Punchline Comedy Club event at the Chase Center in San Francisco. He didn’t make a good first impression on the crowd, who booed him as soon as he got on stage and yelled Chappelle’s famous Rick James impression “I’m rich, b***h.”
In a video shared on Twitter, the crowd went off at the Tesla CEO when Chappelle told the audience to “make some noise for the richest man in the world.” Musk then tells Chappelle after the boos, “You weren’t expecting this, were you?”
Chappelle Replies To The Crowd
Chappelle attempted to defend Musk following the boos and quipped to Elon, “It sounds like some of those people you fired are in the audience.” Elon, who tried responding, got interrupted by Chappelle, who continued,
The comedian later said in the video, “All these people that are booing, I’m just pointing out the obvious- they have terrible seats in the stadium.”
When it looked like the boos wouldn’t stop, Chappelle rounded up his show with a prayer and “advice” to his audience.
Twitter Suspended Account That Posted Video
Eyewitness accounts acknowledged that Chappelle gave the billionaire several chances to address the crowd, but he stood on stage and gave no reaction.

However, Twitter seemed to have suspended the account that initially posted the video as it read, “This tweet is from an account that no longer exists.”
A Weekend Packed With Controversy

The Chase Centre drama rounded off a tumultuous weekend for Elon, who tweeted that Anthony Fauci, the outgoing director of the National Institutes of Health and Infectious Diseases, should be prosecuted and tweeting his “pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci.”
Musk’s tweet fueled the burning fire of online abuse and conspiracy theories about the veteran immunologist.
Chappelle has been criticized for his transphobic stance and comments, especially on his Netflix stand-up special The Closer .
