The public tends to know Elon Musk by his grand gestures, be they good or bad, as there tends to be quite a bit of drama stirred up by his actions. However, he is in fact capable of making very human mistakes too, as recently highlighted by his ex-wife.
In a recent episode of a docuseries about Musk, she explained a strange yet touching act he did after he forgot to buy her a Christmas present.
Elon Musk had a panicked moment on Christmas Eve one year.

In the second episode of The Elon Musk Show , a docuseries that interviews friends, family, employees, and enemies of the eccentric billionaire, Musk’s ex-wife Talulah Riley told a peculiar story from when they lived in Boulder, Colorado.
“It was one of the bad Christmases,” she begins.
“He’d forgotten to get me a Christmas present. There’s loads and loads of snow.”
He apparently confessed that night that he hadn’t gotten her anything, saying, “It’s not that I don’t love you – I do really, really love you. It’s just that my brain is exploding.”
He later, “got up in the middle of the night and disappeared.”
“He came back two hours later and he’d gone outside in his T-shirt and shorts, barefoot, and he’d gone and dug through the snow and picked flowers,” Riley explained.
“He’d walked all over Boulder and came back with a little bouquet of picked flowers, and he was like ‘I just wanted to show you how much I loved you’.”
An unfortunate mishap for sure, but it turns into a strangely sweet story.

Riley and Musk were married twice, first between 2010 and 2012, then again between 2013 and 2016.
Riley has called Musk the “perfect ex-husband,” and in the show, says he’s the most emotional person she knew.
“He has a kind of innocence to him,” she described, “He feels with incredible purity the emotions that he is feeling at the time, whatever that emotion is. He feels very, very deeply.”
