Dwayne Johnson is a big believer in redemption, and his latest Instagram post tells an interesting story. The Hawaiian native may be the highest-paid actor worldwide today, but he grew up poor. The actor couldn’t afford chocolate bars, especially chunky Snickers, so he shoplifted some of it occasionally.
Now that he’s a multi-millionaire, Johnson devoted time to reparations by returning to the store he shoplifted from and buying a lot of Snickers bars.

Justice For The 7/11 Store
Johnson admitted that the guilt of shoplifting troubled him for decades since 1987, so he decided to redeem himself. The actor said those Snickers bars were his pre-workout snack, and he believed the store clerk knew about his misdemeanor but turned a blind eye purposely.
Johnson took it up a notch by clearing out the Snickers aisle and gifting everyone that entered the 7/11 as many pieces as they wanted. His motive was simple – put a smile on a stranger’s face.
Creating Moments With Fans

The actor took several pictures of his good deed from the park into the store. He showed off his tattoos and ripped muscles in a Hawaiian tourist tank top bearing “Ohana,” meaning family. Johnson paired the tank top with shorts, sneakers, and black sunglasses.
He also spent some time with his fans taking pictures and creating memories for them. Giving back is part of The Rock’s brand, and he cares deeply for his fans.
Being Thankful For More
Traveling to Hawaii wasn’t primarily for reparations but for celebrating Thanksgiving with his family. He shared videos of his mother praising their head chef and opened up about life as a child.
Johnson said they didn’t have enough money for a Thanksgiving spread, so they’d pray other families invited them to share their meals. Things have changed for the best now, but Mama Johnson still gets emotional listing the things she’s thankful for.
A Successful Thanksgiving Dinner
The videos show The Johnsons as a close-knit family; everyone feels blessed, from the littlest ones to the oldest in the room. They told jokes amidst sharing gratitude, and Johnson decided to do a corny “Knock Knock” one. The kids didn’t mind because they burst into laughter. It was a successful Thanksgiving dinner overall.
