Donald Trump Jr.’s recently published book, Triggered , is chock full of interesting details inside the life of the Trump family. One of the more newsworthy headlines: Donald Trump was friends with Michael Jackson, and thus can’t be racist. He even let his kids hang out with him.
Let’s see what he said.
Donald Trump has been accused of racism frequently.

From doubting Barack Obama’s birth certificate and launching the “birther” myth , to telling four American congresswomen of color to go back to where they came from, “racist” is a word often used to describe Trump.
In his new book, Donald Trump Jr. refutes that statement.

In the midst of his father’s impeachment inquiry, Donald Trump Jr. released a book detailing his theories on current society.
He also included many anecdotes about his father, as well as his childhood.
He said he didn’t usually like celebrities.

“Even when Dad would bring home a celebrity, which he did often, I would usually run in the other direction,” he wrote .
However, he obviously made an exception for Michael Jackson.
Don’s childhood playmates included a pop star.

“Oh, and by the way, given all the things my father has been called, particularly a ‘racist,’ it sure sounds odd that he’d let his son vacation with a black man or hang out with Michael Jackson, doesn’t it?”
They would play video games together.

“If he’s a racist, he’s sure not very good at it.”
Don then added that he and his brother, Eric, would hang out with Jackson all the time.

No word on if Ivanka was invited.
Donald Sr. even gifted Michael something of Donald Jr.’s.

“One day in Eric’s room, my father saw how much Michael enjoyed playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with us on Nintendo and told him he could take the game home. My game!” Donald Jr. wrote.
Eric claimed the game was his.

“To this day, Eric says it was his game because it was in his room, but I know whose game it was,” he wrote. “I’d worked a summer job to pay for it!”
Michael gave Donald Jr. a shock.

“And here was Michael Jackson, probably a billionaire at this point, and he took it!”
He also was shocked to hear the accusations of sexual molestation that were made against Jackson.

He also revealed that Jackson lived at a familiar address.
Apparently, Michael Jackson was able to hang out with the Trump kids due to the fact that he once resided at Trump Tower.
This was back when Trump Sr. was married to Ivana Trump.
Ivana Trump previously stated something similar.

In her own book, she revealed that Jackson would frequent their home.
“The only person who had an open invitation to come to the triplex for playdates whenever he wanted was Michael Jackson.”

She described him very favorably.

“Michael was a thirty-year-old kid…He was a child himself in a man’s body, tender, sweet and gentle.”
It’s pretty clear that Ivana held great affection for Jackson, and wasn’t bothered that he spent time in their home.

HBO released a documentary on that very subject earlier this year.

Called Leaving Neverland , the documentary follows two men, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who alleged they were sexually abused by Michael Jackson when they were children.
“Leaving Neverland” won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special.

She and Donald Jr. had very different experiences with Jackson.

“The King of Pop lived in Trump Tower and was a good friend of the whole family,” she wrote in her 2017 book, Raising Trump.
However, he had a closer relationship with the kids.
The kid’s floor was more his scene.

“He’d stop by and chat with Donald and me for a few minutes, and then he’d go up to the kids’ floor to hang out for hours and hours.”
Sounds pretty close to what Donald Jr. recounted.
She defended him against the multiple accusations against him.

“I never believed the accusations that he molested those kids. There’s no way he could have hurt anyone,” she finished.
Michael Jackson was the center of multiple child molestation and sexual abuse accusations before his death in 2009.
