Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have always been a refreshingly real couple, never afraid to let us in on the details, even the embarrassing ones. The two have weathered their share of relationship hiccups, and their brutally honest approach to marriage and parenthood has made them a Hollywood power couple.
But now, Dax’s got a brand-new challenge on his hands: watching his wife get all hot and heavy with another guy — and not just any guy, but Adam Brody — on screen, of course.
For a bit of backstory, Kristen and Dax met in 2007 at a dinner party.

By 2013, they’d made things official with a low-key courthouse wedding. They’ve since welcomed two adorable daughters, Lincoln and Delta, and have become one of Hollywood’s favorite couples.
Fast-forward to present day, Bell stars in Nobody Wants This, Netflix’s latest rom-com sensation as Joanne, a s*x podcaster (already a chef’s kiss role for her).

At the New Yorker Festival, Dax was asked about his and Kristen’s “incredible chemistry,” but instead of a sweet reflection, he went rogue.

Apparently, the couple actually watched her steamy scenes together.

If that’s not hilarious enough, Dax’s best friend from childhood, Aaron, couldn’t resist poking the bear.
After seeing Kristen’s passionate scenes, he asked Dax, “Does she ever kiss you like that?”

Kristen, meanwhile, is totally here for it.
Embed from Getty ImagesIn an interview with E! News, she admitted the scenes are, in fact, fire. “Even I can acknowledge watching it, like, ‘Whoa, that’s hot,’” she said. And apparently, Dax didn’t mind, either.
“Watching the first episode, he was like, ‘Oh my God, I want you to kiss him so badly,'” she recalled he said.

For Kristen, this chemistry is all business.
Embed from Getty Images“I’m not trying to be reductive,” she said, putting on her actor hat, “but I think there’s a math to it.” Yep, it turns out Hollywood kisses have a formula — who knew?
Bell explained that on-screen magic is about “the confidence to expand that and really sit in the anticipatory value before the kiss — which I think is really important.”
