Christina Ricci looked stunning in a floral lace dress at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards last week. The Wednesday actress joined a host of other well-dressed celebrities at the fashion awards yet didn’t blend into the background.
The actress has incredible fashion taste and never fails to stun at a red carpet event. Following a fun Halloween celebration with family, the actress and her husband joined the guests at the CFDA as fans anticipate her feature in the upcoming Netflix series, Wednesday.
Sneak Peek
Ricci first teased her appearance at the award show with a beautiful selfie via her Instagram feed. The picture showed her lightly made-up face – matte n**e lipstick and dark eyeshadow with her short dark hair curled in a bob around her face.
A full look at the dress presented a beautifully crafted silk and lace slip gown. It had a v-neckline teasing her cleavage while her toned abs peeked underneath the wide cutout.
The only part of her dress showing in the picture was the applique sleeve, but we had no idea what was coming.
Date Night And Skylines
Ricci’s silk dress had black lace embroidery on the bra top and cutout beneath, adding a sexy flair. She paired the maxi dress with black stiletto sandals and carried a matching black clutch purse.
The actress accessorized her look lightly with a diamond bracelet and earrings. A lengthy caption on Instagram revealed the floral applique wasn’t originally part of the Rodarte silk dress, and Ricci’s husband tacked it on.
‘I’m So Lucky To Love You’
She shared kind words for her husband, Mark Hampton, as she explained the length he went through to get the look in order. Ricci advised her followers to get someone like Hampton to help them on “important stressful days” because they’ll reduce the pressure.
He ensured Ricci ate and cared for the fine details, from hair to makeup, nail polish, and accessories. Then, Hampton captured her big moment and immortalized it in pictures.
Moving On With A Better Man
The couple married last year after Ricci finalized her divorce with James Heerdegen. She’d married Heerdegen in 2013 but filed for divorce two years ago alongside a restraining order against him.
She alleged emotional and physical abuse from Heerdegen, so marrying a caring, thoughtful man like Hampton surely brought out the emotional side of the Addams Family alum.
