People have really been dragging Chrissy Teigen through the mud these days — more than usual, and that’s saying a lot!
Since taking a “break” from Twitter due to the incessant criticism, she is now being accused of stealing one of the recipes in her cookbook from another chef.
But she wasn’t about to let this allegation slide! She clapped back at the troll in classic Chrissy-fashion.
It seems like lately, Chrissy Teigen cannot catch a break.
If it’s not one thing, it’s another when it comes to her.
She is constantly being dragged by people on the Internet that care way too much about the things she does.
For instance, she was recently in hot water for complimenting Adele on her dramatic weight loss transformation.
“I mean are you kidding me,” Chrissy commented on Adele’s latest Instagram photo .
I think it’s clear that Chrissy’s comment was by no means meant to sound mean-spirited or “fatphobic.”
But her comment was met with a ton of backlash.
Some people seem to think that Chrissy was subtly fat-shaming the way Adele used to look, and reinforcing the idea that people need to be thin to be gawked at.
But she eventually fired back at all the criticism, explaining that she was simply trying to compliment her friend.
She was also recently dragged by Alison Roman, a well-known food critic, columnist for the New York Times and author of two best-selling cookbooks.
And she did not hold back.
In an interview with The Consumer , she let people know who she really feels about Chrissy.
When asked about how she would like to expand her own business and capitalize on new things, she explained that she is not interested in selling out to have a cookbook empire.
“Like, what Chrissy Teigen has done is so crazy to me. She had a successful cookbook. And then it was like: Boom, line at Target,” she said .
“Boom, now she has an Instagram page that has over a million followers where it’s just, like, people running a content farm for her.”
“That horrifies me and it’s not something that I ever want to do. I don’t aspire to that,” she added .

After hearing those comments, Chrissy decided it was time to take a break from Twitter. But not before tweeting a reaction to Alison’s remarks.
“This is a huge bummer and hit me hard,” she wrote . “I have made her recipes for years now”.
“Bought her cookbooks, supported her on social media and praised her in interviews.”
“I even signed on to executive produce the very show she talks about in this article,” Chrissy continued . “I don’t think I’ve ever been so bummed out by the words of a fellow food lover.”
“I just had no idea I was perceived that way, by her especially,” she went on.
“It has been crappy to deal with this all day but I couldn’t not say something “.
In another tweet, she explained that she had just about had enough of all the drama that had been piling, and needed a break from it all.
Unfortunately, the drama continues…
“You can’t cook or not copy someone’s idea from their cookbook!,” a troll tweeted at Chrissy. “It’s copying even tho you changed one thing! Come up with your own [expletive]! Ya [expletive] bum! Chef Mike saw your [expletive] and might file a suit!”
“I just saw your review and he called me! Stick with your [Filipino] [expletive],” they concluded.
I know that Chrissy faces a lot of nasty comments like this on the regular.
But this one has got to be one of the most extreme ones I’ve ever seen.
Thankfully, Chrissy did what she does best. She clapped back, and it really is one for the books!
“No idea who chef mike is,” she tweeted .
Took the words right out of my mouth, tbh! Also, we’re pretty sure that many people have very similar recipes.
“But he probably wouldn’t be happy to learn that you, a friend of his worthy of calling, is outing him about his impending lawsuit,” she added.
“Oh and he called me because his NY restaurant is closed and was reading the article about you and that sparked his rage,” the troll replied .
“Yes, he cooked for your family too. I told him he should do a virtual restaurant show, to show the cooking to table and how things work,” they went on. To which Chrissy replied:
“Please tell me who this chef mike is? so I can speak to him? I have never stolen a recipe from anyone and I actively talk about the restaurants I love .”
“Imagine the ego to think someone is copying you when they haven’t heard of you?,” she concluded.
Can everyone just leave Chrissy alone?! Thanks.
