Chris Hemsworth is a pretty positive person on social media. He mostly posts ads for Australia, posts photos of his children and his wife, and sometimes even of cute animals that he takes selfies with.
But recently he had to make a post calling out a tabloid.
Chances are, even if you’re not a Marvel fan, you at least know who Chris Hemsworth is.
He’s been in a number of films, both Marvel and non-Marvel related, and is constantly being praised in tabloids for his excellent father skils.
Plus, he’s easy on the eyes, which is another reason why a lot of people know him.
Between being one of People’s Sexiest Men Alive, and being on the cover of Men’s Health in what feels like every other week, it’s impossible not to know who he is.
Something else we love about Hemsworth: the man is extremely proud of where he comes from.
Hemsworth is from Australia, and once he began to have children he decided to raise them there away from the bright lights of Hollywood.
In fact, he gave a pretty in depth interview about it.
Part of the reason he wanted his kids out is because of the paparazzi:
“When I’m with my kids and someone is scaring my kids — which is what they’ll do — that gets me fired up. The hairs on the back of my neck stand up,” he said.
“Being here in LA, I can’t complain about the place because it’s given me so much, but you are reminded about the industry every step you take down the street.”

“And, being back there in Australia this time, I really noticed the difference. And you just distance yourself from it and you feel like a human being again. The experiences I had as a kid, I want my kids to have.”
Hemsworth hopes that his children will grow up with similar memories of Australia that he did when he was a child growing up.
“When I was a kid surfing with my brothers and my dad and now being able to do it with my kids is the greatest thing I could’ve ever hoped for,” he said.
It is because of this, that Hemsworth responded so strongly to something that happened to him and his family recently in Australia.

The star, who rarely speaks out, decided to take a stand when it came to both himself and his home.
Recently, Australia has undergone some terrible fires and had very little rain, which has caused a nation wide drought.
So despite the fact that Hemsworth might be photographing himself surfing, it doesn’t mean that it’s been an easy journey for him.
Which is why he had to find a way to get water for himself.
Hemsworth found out that ‘Daily Mail’ Australia posted an article claiming he had water trucks arrive to his house so he could water his garden.
And needless to say, Hemsworth was not happy about the blatant lie.
He quickly called them out.
“This is a complete lie. Normally I wouldn’t respond to false articles like this but it bothers me a lot.”
“The water truck was purely for drinking water because like everyone in the region who is not connected to town water we have run out of potable water due to the drought.”
He continued by saying:

“NONE of my garden is fed by drinking water. Thanks for your concern #dailymail and thanks for adding more distress to an already brutal situation the whole country is dealing with. Merry Xmas.”
Good for him!
