People always say that you should never meet your heroes . More often than not, the image we hold in our minds in regards to our favorite celebrities just doesn’t hold up to the real thing.

Reddit user mindcandy’s friend struck up a conversation with a total stranger about comic books while the pair of them waited at the airport for their plane to arrive. They would later go on to discover that they’d been talking to Vanilla Ice.
Heath Ledger really was too good to be true.
Reddit user Housecat-in-a-Jungle once bumped into Heath Ledger while out at a cafe. He noticed that Heath was reading Alan Moore’s “Swamp Thing” and the two of them wound up chatting about comics and life for roughly 1.5 hours.

Redditor mrsfarias met former NBA All-Star/Champion Dennis Rodman while he was making an appearance at a Fort Lauderdale nightclub. Dennis was in fine form, serving drinks and taking pictures with anyone who asked him.

BuzzFeed Community member homelandinspection was hired to do a home inspection for Jennifer Hudson. In the middle of the inspection, they asked if Jennifer wouldn’t mind listening to them play the ukelele. Much to their surprise, she wound up singing along!
Bill Hader is a man of the people.
Redditor bensawn was riding a train home and feeling incredibly hungover when they noticed comedian Bill Hader seated just a couple rows over. Bill was very warm and more than willing to chat about his time spent on SNL.
