Every now and then, Hollywood puts out a movie with a cast so stacked, you don’t even know where to start.
See: The Dark Knight , The Departed , The Outsiders , and so on.
It looks like we’re being treated to yet another one of these movies, and it looks amazing.
We just learned that Cardi B is joining forces with Jennifer Lopez for a new movie.
Based on a 2016 New York Magazine article, the movie will be about a group of former e****c dancers who “turn the tables” on their Wall Street clients.
As if these two starring together wasn’t exciting enough, there’s actually a long list of talented actresses who will also be joining the movie.
Buckle up, this is too good.
Also set to star in the movie are Constance Wu, Lili Reinhart, Julia Stiles and Keke Palmer.
I mean, when have your favorites ever ???
Lorene Scafaria is both writing and directing the film.
Lorene also wrote Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist , and directed Seeking a Friend for the End of the World .
STXfilms will be producing, along with Jennifer Lopez.
Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, Adam McKay and Will Ferrell will also be tied to the film.
Adam Fogelson, Chairman of STXfilms spoke about how excited he was for the cast lineup.
“We could not have asked for a more exciting or talented lineup of performers to join our cast. STX is thrilled to reunite with Jennifer, Elaine and Benny to bring this unexpected, entertaining and often shocking story to the big screen for audiences worldwide,” he said .
To prepare for the role, Jennifer has been taking pole dancing lessons from a Cirque du Soleil performer.
“It’s very hard. She’s fantastic and she works with me and, I mean, I have bruises everywhere … I have a lot of respect for people who do the pole. It’s, like, acrobatic. It’s different muscle groups and the things they do with their legs, upside down, I’m like, ‘What? I can’t … hold on. Can we do that part again?’” she explained .
As many people know, Cardi had a previous career as a stripper.
Last year, she opened up about people respecting strippers, so it’ll definitely be interesting to see her take on this new role!
