Britney Spears is about to cash out big as she puts her Calabasas mansion up for sale with an asking price of $12 million. In typical Britney style, the pop star is carrying the transaction out off the market, although private sources spoke to TMZ about the impending sale.
The $12 Million Mansion
Spears bought the mansion with her husband, Sam Asghari, last year for the steep price of $11.8 million. It’s an 11,650 sq. ft. building sitting on 1.6 acres of land.
The mansion has a large kitchen with a home movie theater, gift-wrapping room, and a huge pool fitted with a waterslide.
The House Is Barely Lived-In
Spears and Asghari barely lived in the mansion because the pop star considered it too exposed to the public for her taste. However, its proximity to her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, with whom her two children, Sean & Jayden, lived, might’ve been the appeal.
No Love Lost
According to the TMZ source, Spears tried hard to fall in love with the house, but it didn’t work. Now, she’s ready to give up and move into a new place.
Alternate Living Options
Meanwhile, Spears still owns and lives in the mansion located in Thousand Oaks. She bought the property in 2015 for $7.5 million, and it’s served as a worthy nest egg.

There are six bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and three detached bathrooms. Those bathrooms have marble-covered floors, bathtubs, and walls.
Still As Luxurious As The Other Mansion
It’s not as big as the 20 acres of land housing the Thousand Oaks mansion but is equally luxurious. Pop Crush added that the mansion contains furniture made of imported “Onyx and hand-carved fireplaces.”

The Calabasas mansion has a rich history as it once belonged to Hailey and Justin Bieber and is located in the Estate At The Oaks around other big celebrity properties.
The area is famous for housing the Kardashians, especially Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian Barker, who married last year.
