All of us have been facing new challenges and obstacles since the entire world took a hit. This period of self-isolation has been most difficult for children, many of whom spend their days and nights alone.
As a way of giving back, actor Ryan Reynolds appeared via live stream to chat with some of the patients at SickKids Hospital.

Ryan Reynolds has become very involved with spreading good vibes and awareness.
Ryan was one of a handful of Canadian celebs contacted directly by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The idea was to use celebs to turn social distancing into a movement – and it worked!
Since the outbreak began, Ryan has been encouraging his fans to do the same and donate.
The Deadpool star recently announced a t-shirt campaign via his Instagram account.
His goal is to “bring boring back” to the masses, as well as raise funds to purchase PPE for front line workers.
Yesterday, Ryan made an appearance on SickKids TV via a live stream.
Ryan answered questions from fans and provided us all with a little insight into the making of Deadpool .
His choice of sweater immediately drew attention from the host.
If it looks familiar, that’s because it is! Ryan’s ‘ugly Christmas sweater’ is the very same one that he (and Hugh Jackman) have both been spotted wearing.
Ryan wasn’t alone either. He brought his friend Auston Matthews along for a chat.
Ryan was even thoughtful enough to gift Auston his own ‘ugly Christmas sweater’. If you look closely at the gift tag, it says:
TO: Auston
FROM: Ryan
If you’re having trouble placing Auston, maybe this will help.
Auston is the Captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs. He’s one of the top forwards in the entire NHL.
If you didn’t already know, Ryan Reynolds is a die-hard Leafs fan.
And is it just me or does the host look an awful lot like Lunette from *The Big Comfy Couch*?
It’s kind of uncanny right? I mean she’s got the hat, the nose, the only thing that’s missing is the doll.
Twitter seemed to notice the similarities as well.
Oh, don’t you worry. There’s still plenty to be excited about even if it isn’t Lunette the Clown!
Still, that would have been pretty cool.
Soon the subject shifted to Ryan’s hilarious rivalry with Hugh Jackman.
Ryan even admitted that he “Would like to do one more movie where Deadpool and Wolverine finally share the screen.”
I think I speak for everyone when I say “Me too!”
After awhile, another famous celeb made a cameo appearance: Ryan’s wife Blake Lively.
Near the end of the conversation, Ryan jokingly revealed that Blake was sitting beside him “eavesdropping” and wanted to say hello.
Blake revealed that she had done one of the voices for an upcoming movie of Ryan’s.
Unfortunately for Blake, and for us all, it appears as if she may have been edited out of the film in the final cut.
Finally, the host asked the burning question everyone was dying to know.
Blake was asked what Pokémon she would choose to be if given the choice.
The star pondered for a moment and then quickly replied “Jigglypuff!”
An interesting choice, but is Blake really a Jigglypuff?
I don’t know but for some reason, I pictured her as more of a Vulpix ? What do you think, am I crazy?
Fans everywhere were touched by Ryan and Auston’s generosity.
It was a great reminder of the importance and value of giving.
How such a small act of kindness goes such a long way in changing a child’s life.
Hopefully we haven’t seen the last of Ryan (or his Christmas sweater).
I think Ryan’s missing a huge opportunity.
