Sir Anthony Hopkins has accomplished a lot in his life. The outstanding actor has received many accolades throughout his acting career, including several Oscar wins.
He became the oldest person to win an Oscar when he earned the trophy for Best Actor in The Father in 2021. Another thing he’s done at an older age is find love.

Anthony has been married three times throughout his life.
His first wife was Petronella Barker, the daughter of comedian Eric Barker and actress Pearl Hackney. She was only 24 when she married the Welsh actor.
Thanks to her parents’ careers, she and Anthony shared a love of the arts.
During their marriage, they welcomed Anthony’s only child, Abigail.
The couple was married from 1966 to 1972, and it ended badly.
Anthony has reflected on this time , saying, “I guess I am selfish. I have not been a good husband or father.”
Although Hopkins starred in ‘The Father,’ he stopped being an actual dad to his daughter many years ago.
He has said that he hasn’t spoken to Abigal for over 20 years. This allegedly has to do with Anthony leaving the family to marry another woman.
“I came very close to killing myself. It was the worst time I can remember,” Abigail revealed in an interview, per ‘The Mirror.’
“I totally abused my mind and body. The root cause was the fact that my father and I had an intermittent relationship when I was young. I was angry and there was a lot of grieving going on.”
Jennifer Lynton is the second woman he married.
Their relationship has been the source of controversy since Jennifer was reported as “the other woman.” They met while Jennifer worked as a production assistant on a movie that Anthony was working on.
They hit it off when she picked him up from the airport after he had missed his flight.
They went on to be married for 28 years. During this time, Anthony had his meteoric rise in Hollywood, thanks in large part to his role in The Silence of the Lambs .
But by 2002, the couple had drifted apart.
Hopkins was still technically married (again) when he met his now-wife, Stella Arroyave. They met in 2001 when he was shopping at the Colombian-born woman’s antique shop. After he divorced Jennifer, they got married in 2003.
The esteemed actor has been open about how Stella has “saved” him.
“She met me ten years ago when I was shut down. Shut down for some years. I didn’t feel shut down at that time,” she told The Independent .
“I felt I was quite happy. But I was dealing with slight d********n.”
“Not trusting anyone. Certainly not trusting women,” he continued.
“Everyday she wakes up happy. She’s very positive about everything. I learnt from her just to take life as it comes.”
Since they got married, Stella has shifted gears in her career.
She’s become an actress and even a screenplay writer.
She appeared in the projects, Slipstream and The Human Stain , and also produced and wrote her own screenplay, Elyse .
Hollywood isn’t an easy place to be, but Anthony has always called Stella “his rock.”
“She’s a wonderful woman,” he told the ‘Daily Mail.’
” She looks after me that way and she needs to, because my nature is to do things very fast because I have convinced myself that I am still 45 years old. I walk far too fast and I’m always falling over and she reminds me not to.”
