The White Lotus co-stars Alexandra Daddario and Sydney Sweeney built a close friendship after starring in their HBO series together last year. During the annual GQ Men of the Year Awards , the duo reunited once more and Daddario had a sweet toast for her co-star.
The toast included sweet anecdotes of their time together while playing in the Mike White satire drama. They previously did an episode on Carpool Karaoke with their co-star, Murray Bartlett.

Sweeney looked ethereal in a Laquan Smith black dress meshed with a silver breastplate. The dress had a skintight material with a draped short-sleeve on one side of the shoulder and a long sleeve on the other.

During her toast, Daddario called Sweeney a funny, cool, and humble person with incredible talent.
A Long Way From Their ‘Awkward’ Pool Encounter
Her former co-star thanked her for the sweet words and added,
They’ve come a long way from the brooding teenager and awkward newlywed vacationing in The White Lotus in Hawaii. Their on-screen encounter wasn’t the best, as Sweeney’s character insulted Daddario’s character in their first and subsequent meetings afterward.
Upcoming Projects For Both Actresses
Both stars became prominent in Hollywood last year following their works on the HBO series and subsequent projects. They both have a budding social media following with Daddario entertaining a 22.7 million audience and Sweeney trailing behind at 14.4 million Instagram followers.
Daddario is about to lead the cast of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, adapted into a series by AMC, while Sweeney is set to star in Madame Web opposite Dakota Johnson.
She’s also excited to play Cassie for the third time in Euphoria Season Three and has ideas to make the character even more enjoyable. We’ve seen her be a trainwreck for two seasons, so it’s time for her to start getting her life together.
