They’re still not ready to make nice, and you better believe they aren’t backing down, but after a five-year-long hiatus — The Chicks are back with a vengeance!
The three-piece all-female country band announced on Monday, February 28th, that they’ll be hitting the road this summer in support of their most recent album, titled ” Gaslighter .” The tour kicks off this June in Maryland, and fans everywhere can’t wait!

The COVID-19 pandemic hit the music industry especially hard.
With ticket sales and touring accounting for the bulk of a musician’s income, many performers were left wondering how they were going to make ends meet, and The Chicks were no exception.
It’s been two years since the band recorded their “Gaslighter” album, but due to gathering restrictions — The Chicks have been unable to tour.
The group composed of Natalie Maines , Martie Maguire, and Emily Strayer, say that now is the time to get back out there and reconnect with their fans.
“What I have missed the most about touring is the first couple minutes of every show,” Stayer told ‘The Associated Press’.
“The house lights going dark, the roar of the crowd and the opening song pumping through the PA. I think we’ve all missed being connected through live music!” she explained .
The Chicks are set to perform in 27 different cities, all across North America.
Fiddle player Martie Maguire says that while the band was recording their “Gaslighter” album, she constantly pictured performing all the songs on tour. Now, it appears that she and the rest of The Chicks will finally have their chance to do just that.
