SPS has no cure; however, the singer’s doing everything on her hands to reduce the symptoms to control her life. The disease makes the person a “human statue” as they become increasingly rigid until they can no longer do regular daily tasks, like walking or talking.
The Cause Is Unknown
SPS is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder, which means the difficulties only get worse over time, even making the patient use a wheelchair and need help to eat. The disease has no known cause, but it is believed to be an autoimmune condition.
Celine Has A Great Support Group
She added, “I have a great team of doctors working beside me to make me feel better and my amazing children, who are supporting me and giving me hope,” before explaining that she’s working hard to regain her strength.
It’s Been Difficult For Her
Dion has suffered a rough path since her husband, René Angélil, and her brother, Daniel, passed away from cancer in 2016. Still, she has remained strong and today celebrated her 55th birthday surrounded by doctors.
