Ireland Baldwin, 26, is getting real about how being a “nepotism baby” has impacted her life.
It seems like these days people are more aware of nepotism babies in Hollywood than ever — there are tons of famous people who are mostly famous because they’re the children of other famous people. While some of these “nepo babies” are talented, others are less popular among the general population who don’t believe they’ve worked hard to be where they are. Ireland Baldwin is clearing up which side she falls into on her TikTok page.

Ireland Baldwin is the daughter of two superstars, Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin.
In a series of TikTok videos discussing her parents’ impact on her life, Ireland said “My parents have helped me so much of my life. They’ve made life a lot easier for me than in comparison to of a lot of people,” but that she is not financially supported by them because her mom is “living her life and doing her thing” while her dad has “a lot of kids, a wife and a whole family” to support.
“Not asking in a mean way but wondering when your parents are mega rich do you receive a monthly allowance?” one TikTok user asked her.
“At different points in my life my parents have definitely helped me. I do not get a monthly allowance from my parents because I’m 26 years old,” Ireland explained , adding that she also does not live with her parents.
“No monthly allowance but that would be [expletive] sick. That would be really great,” she laughed.
“Do you work?” another user asked her.
“I am a business owner,” Ireland replied, adding that her boyfriend and her are “opening up a cafe, wine bar, and boutique. And we’re starting a brand together.”
Ireland also described herself as a “foster dog rescue owner,” saying “I work in adoption, I work with a lot of fosters and rescuers.”
Ireland then stated the only problem with “nepotism babies” are when they are not self-aware.
“Nothing is worse than when someone is born into a famous family … and they fail to, like, acknowledge how these doors were opened for them and how they’ve had it easier than a lot of other people,” she said.
