'Modern Family' Star Julie Bowen Rescued A Hiker Who Fainted At A Park

Julie Bowen has an impressive resume: she's an actress, mom, and hero.

That last credit was added recently when she rescued a fan who fainted at a National Park in Utah.

Instead of being like other celebs who are too busy — or even rude — to their fans, Julie and her sister tended to the stranger without a second thought.

You gotta give it to celebs, they love to give back to their fans.

Some volunteer, some donate money, and some perform kind acts. One time, Jamie Foxx even saved a man’s life!

This happened when a man lost control of his truck and skidded off the road. This caused his car to flip multiple times.

Tragically, it also burst into flames right next to Jamie Foxx's Hidden Valley home.

But without hesitation, the Django Unchained actor proved to be a hero when he called 911 and even got the man out of the engulfed truck.

Mila Kunis also saved a man's life.

When a 50-year-old worker collapsed in her home and started coughing up blood, she spurred into action.

In the end, her actions to assess the seizing man by grabbing his head and turning it to the side made it so he didn’t swallow his tongue.

Recently, Julie Bowen joined the club of celeb heroes.

This was shared in a three-part Facebook post by Minnie John, the hiker who fainted.

She began by sharing that she and her husband, Shaji, and their son, Brandon, had traveled to see Arches National Park in Moab, Utah.

This is a popular attraction that's 46 feet high and 32 feet wide.

The treacherous climb to the top was difficult for Minnie since she has an artificial knee and diabetes.

Unfortunately, she hadn't eaten since breakfast that day and was extremely dehydrated.

Once she was about 15 minutes to the top, she started to feel light-headed and dizzy.

Her family wanted to stay with her, but she insisted they keep going while she recovered on a rock.

"All I remember is sitting there with my head in my hands secure on the rock," John wrote in one Facebook post.

"Next thing I hear someone with a familiar voice kept asking me questions."

While that familiar voice wasn't an angel, it was pretty close.

It belonged to Bowen, the Modern Family star. She and her family had also been hiking to the Delicate Arch when their guide spotted John passed out.

"The guide saw me fall forward," John told *CNN*.

She had broken her nose and the skin around her nose. Since Julie's sister is a doctor, she tended to John's wounds right away and provided her with medicine, food, and electrolytes.

"I had no strength in my feet," John said.

"Julie and Annie got both my arms, lifted me up, and put me on the same rock I'd fallen off of."

Minnie used their cellphone to call her family and let them know what happened.

While waiting for them to walk back, she asked the girls for a group picture and they happily obliged.

"They were so down to earth, so genuine, so sweet: Not at all how you might expect a big actor or a big doctor to be -- which they are. They were just so humble, so loving," John told *CNN*.

After the ordeal, she was admitted to a nearby hospital where she got five stitches and was told she had a fractured nose.

Regardless, she considers herself lucky. This largely has to do with the Bowen sisters' random act of kindness.

"We tend to forget the daily kindnesses we encounter. We're blind to everything around us and don't imagine that people will be so good, kind and caring," John said.
