Super Bowl LVI was one of the most memorable in recent memory, but not so much for the game as it was for the Halftime Show! With a lineup consisting of Dr. Dre, Eminem, and 50 Cent — how could it not be?
But in the wake of events that took place, 50 Cent has come under fire for his physical appearance and noticeable weight gain. In classic 50 Cent style, he has a message for all his haters out there.
Super Bowl LVI truly was one for the record books.

Football fans were treated to one of the most riveting games in recent memory between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals. It was a back and forth power matchup that went right down to the wire.
Not only was the game itself exciting, but the Halftime Show was out of this world.

Millennials were treated to a heavy dose of nostalgia, as this past year’s lineup boasted some of the most celebrated artists of our generation. Among the many were Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and 50 Cent.
When it came time for 50 Cent to perform his pinnacle track “In Da Club”, he decided to harken back to the song’s iconic music video.
Fans will no doubt recall that in the original video, the song begins with an incredibly jacked 50 Cent hanging upside down, suspended from the ceiling.
While it seemed like a great idea on paper, the shady aftermath of the stunt has proven otherwise.

Right away, the internet began exploding with memes and tweets, directing the majority of the focus to 50 Cent’s weight. Some “fans” were even making jokes , stating that 50 Cent plus inflation equals $1.00.
In true G-Unit fashion, 50 sidestepped his haters and seized the opportunity to promote a new line of merchandise.
In a further show of resilience, the hip-hop mogul began resharing some of his favorite memes created by haters and fans alike via his own Instagram account.
50 even saw fit to reshare a screenshot of D12’s “My Band” video.

The video had Bizarre spoof the iconic opening scene. Clearly, 50 Cent doesn’t take himself too seriously and is willing to go along with the joke. Which is obviously really good, since a lot of people might not have been willing to do so.
“I call this teasing me,” 50 captioned his Instagram post.

“They’re just teasing me because they know i[sic] can drop the weight. that’s[sic] why i[sic] laugh with them .”
“Fat shaming only applies when your[sic] ashamed of your fat,” 50 concluded.
While it’s great to see the revered rapper taking it all in stride, it is somewhat mindboggling to think that we live in a society wherein anyone could accuse 50 Cent of being fat.
I will say, I love that this is his response.

People have really intense feelings about men and women (especially in the spotlight) when they gain weight. But ultimately: who cares?! Why are you commenting on their weight anyway? Leave them alone!
Sure, he’s a little stockier than he was when the video for “In Da Club” was originally released — but that was 20 years ago!
Don’t also forget, as this Twitter user pointed out, that 50 Cent still had the upper body physique to be able to pull himself up and lock himself in place. Most 46-year-olds that I know would have trouble doing even a single pull-up.
While fat-shaming someone is never justified, several people have pointed out that 50 Cent brought this upon himself.

There’s no denying that 50 Cent is a troll in his own right. His song ” Wanksta ” is a thinly-veiled diss track directed at fellow rapper Ja Rule.
He’s publically accused Floyd Mayweather of being illiterate on multiple occasions,
And most recently — he took a potshot at Madonna. Not only is 50 Cent a bit of a troll, but he can also be incredibly petty.
Back in 2018, 50 Cent decided to buy out the first four rows of a Ja Rule concert.

Just so that they would be empty when the Murder Inc. mogul took the stage. “Lol at $15 a pop you can’t lose,” 50 wrote via Instagram . “I got 200 tickets for 3 bands.”
Let’s get one thing clear — nobody deserves to be body-shamed or made fun of online.

But as I said, some people think he had it coming (karma and all that). Perhaps now that 50 Cent has been served his own slice of humble pie, he’ll think twice before publically shaming others — fat chance!
