She addresses this moment in a song on her new album.

In the track "Happy", the lyrics say, "Since I was 17 / I've always hated my body / And it feels like my body's hated me".

In an interview with USA Today Pink said the lyrics stemmed her miscarriage.

"When that happens to a woman or a young girl, you feel like your body hates you and like your body is broken, and it's not doing what it's supposed to do," she said.

Pink also went on to say that she's had several miscarriages in her life.

She believes it's important to talk about this issue openly.

"I've had several miscarriages since, so I think it's important to talk about what you're ashamed of, who you really are and the painful (expletive)," she said.

She also credits therapy for helping her through these dark moments of her life and said she's been going to the same therapist since she was in her early 20s.

"What I love about therapy is that they'll tell you what your blind spots are. Although that's uncomfortable and painful, it gives you something to work with," she said.

We're applauding Pink for her honesty and for opening up about this painful experience.

Miscarriages are still something many women feel ashamed to discuss, but with celebs like Pink sharing their experiences, it can help others feel less alone.
