Do you know what makes everyone happy? Christmas music. No, no. That's not a question. It's just a fact. And when it comes to holiday songs that make me happy, Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" is at the top of my list, as is Darlene Love's "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)."

So when I heard that Mariah was trying to trademark the Queen of Christmas title and that Darlene love was NOT having it, I knew I had to tell you all about it.

To be fair, what would the holiday season be WITHOUT blasting "All I Want For Christmas Is You" for 2 months straight?

Of course, great songs came before and after this hit, but there's nothing quite like it!

With that being said, Darlene Love's "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" has had an equally profound impact on me and the Christmas season as a whole.

As fans will recall, Darlene sang the hit on David Letterman’s show every year from 1986 to 2014.

PLUS, I beg of you all not to sleep on Darlene's hit "All Alone On Christmas" which you'll remember from "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York."

The saxophone solo in this song sends me into Christmas bliss every single year!

Recently, it was reported that Mariah has been trying to trademark the "Queen of Christmas" title, meaning she would be the only celebrity allowed to use that phrasing.

In light of this news, Darlene took to her social media to call out the songstress.

"Is it true that Mariah Carey trade marked "Queen of Christmas"? What does that mean that I can’t use that title?" she wrote on her official Facebook.

"David Letterman officially declared me the Queen of Christmas 29 years ago, a year before she released ”All I want For Christmas Is You” and at 81 years of age I’m NOT changing anything."

"I’ve been in the business for 52 years, have earned it and can still hit those notes! If Mariah has a problem call David or my lawyer!!" she added.

Honestly, I can't argue with Darlene — both she and Mariah have done so much to influence Christmas music, and music in general — and they're both queens to me!
