There are few people who don’t know about the iconic, smooth and 420-friendly entertainer, Snoop Dogg. However, not everyone is privy to some odd and interesting jobs the Long Beach native rapper has had over the years.
Snoop once said, “I’m Snoop Dogg, I’m here to stay, and I won’t fade away” to cement his legacy, and he has a combination of career ambitions that undeniably back up his history as a jack of many trades.
Here are some of our favorite random jobs from Snoop that we never saw coming, but totally find impressive!
1. Snoop Dogg had a cooking show with Martha Stewart

“Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party” paired iconic television personality Martha Stewart, known for a host of lifestyle content, with Snoop, to create what some thought was an unlikely pairing. However, few know that these friends have been close for over 15 years following Snoop’s 2008 guest appearance on Stewart’s cooking show.
2. Snoop recorded a gospel album

In 2018, he worked with gospel artists Lonny Bereal, Faith Evans, Tye Tribbett, and others for his debut gospel album, “Bible of Love.”
Snoop was inspired by his grandmother, Dorothy Tate, who introduced him to gospel music at a young age.
3. Snoop joined the Rastafari Movement

Learning about the movement motivated him to join the Rastafari religion and even release a reggae album called “Reincarnated” and a documentary of the same name.
Drawing from Protestant Christianity, mysticism, and Pan-African political identity in his new faith, Snoop took on the new name that few know him by: “Snoop Lion.”
4. Snoop was even in a Bollywood movie

There’s no need to imagine the “Drop It Like It Hot” artist singing and rapping in a Bollywood musical number because there’s a whole film to watch with him “fo shizzle” doing that in real life.
5. He even hosted a nature series

He treated audiences to some hilarious commentary in the “Squirrel Vs. Snake” video that was all about the epic battle between the critters.
6. Snoop worked with the boyband “Big Time Rush”

Snoop not only added some hip-hop beats to the band’s***t song “Boyfriend,” but he also cameoed in the Nickelodeon show Big Time Rush for the 2010 holiday special as himself.
7. He’s a rapper that became a wrestler

He often joins other superstars for exciting matches and even attended WrestleMania XXIV in Orlando and served as the Master of Ceremonies in 2008.
8. Snoop created his own football league

Serving as a mentor to thirteen hundred kids across Los Angeles County, Snoop wanted to offer an enriching afterschool program for Southern Californian youth.
He even unpacks the experience in the 2018 Netflix documentary, Coach Snoop.
9. Snoop co-founded a grocery food brand
Few know that Snoop and fellow American rapper Master P founded Broadus Foods in 2022.
The endearing origin story of this venture goes back to Snoop’s mom (AKA Momma Snoop) and her passion for serving her community. There’s even a “Momma Snoop” maple syrup. Now, that’s pretty sweet.
He even partnered with an Australian wine brand in one of his many ventures.
10. He has his own photo editing app called “Snoopify”
In 2013, Snoop launched “Snoopify” to allow people to use its in-app camera to create Snoop Dogg-themed images and filters.
The app is available on Google Play, just in case you’re interested in a Snoop Dogg-themed event!
To be honest, the list goes on. He was even the gameshow host of The Joker’s Wild!
