The late, great, Fast and Furious icon, Paul Walker , tragically passed away after a car accident back in November 2013, at 40 years old.
While he was taken from us far too young, during his time here, he lived an incredibly interesting life. Fans love to look back on everything he has done.

1. He started acting when he was just two years old.
Most child actors don’t get a start on their careers until they’re, at the very least, old enough to form complete sentences.
But Paul landed his first landing gig when he was two, in a Pampers diaper commercial .
2. He studied marine biology in college.
Paul was always interested in the ocean and its ecosystem. So, before getting his true big break in Hollywood, he was attending college, studying marine biology.
Ultimately, he ended up giving up his studies to continue pursuing acting.
3. He auditioned for the role of Anakin Skywalker in *Star Wars* prequel.
Paul auditioned for the role of Anakin Skywalker in future Star Wars prequels, but was, unfortunately, passed on for being too old for the part .
The role went to Hayden Christensen instead.
4. He was raised Mormon.
Paul wasn’t very forthcoming with fans about his religious views. But he was raised in a Mormon household, and once revealed in an interview that he most definitely believed in God, and couldn’t understand those who don’t.
“I go surfing and snowboarding and I’m always around nature. I look at everything and think, ‘Who couldn’t believe there’s a God? Is all this a mistake?’ It just blows me away,” he said .
5. He and his sister were contestants on a game show when he was 13 years old.
In between some of his first-ever acting gigs, Paul and his sister, Ashlie, were contestants on an episode of the game show I’m Telling! —and they finished in second place!
6. He practiced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
While Paul was an impressive on-screen fighter, he also dabbled in martial arts IRL!
At the time of his death, he had attained his brown belt in Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu.
7. His grandfather was a famous boxer.
Looks like Paul’s toughness ran in the family! That explains so much, to be honest.
His grandfather, Paul Williams II, was a professional heavyweight boxer who went by the name “Irish” Billy Walker.
8. He owned a mobile home that was once featured on MTV’s *Cribs*.
If you’ve ever seen Cribs , then you know that typically, they display large, extravagant, lavish mansions with wildly impractical features.
But for Paul Walker, that was not the case!
9. He was a race car driver.
Not only was Paul a fast car connoisseur in the Fast and Furious films, but in real life as well!
He actually participated in the Redline Time Attack racing series and was apart of the AE Performance Team.
10. He performed all of his own stunts in the first *Fast and Furious* movie.
Since Paul’s personal interests in real-life conveniently mirrored his on-screen ones, such as martial arts and racing cars, it was a lot easier for him than most to perform his own movie stunts .
11. He disliked watching himself on-screen.
There are plenty of actors who have admitted that they aren’t comfortable watching their own acting performances , and Paul Walker was one of them!
It must be really weird for actors to watch themselves.
12. He made Vin Diesel his daughter’s godfather.
Thanks to the Fast and Furious franchise, Paul and Vin became close friends on and off the big screen.
When Paul’s daughter, Meadow Walker was born, he made Vin her godfather . How cute is that?
13. His daughter filed a lawsuit against Porsche.
After Paul’s unfortunate and untimely passing due to a car accident, his daughter, Meadow, filed a lawsuit against Porsche (the car Paul was driving at the time of the accident).
She claimed that the vehicle had defects that ultimately contributed to the crash.
14. According to his father, he would have been uncomfortable with how much publiclity and attention his death generated.
“It was embarrassing to him. I thought last night, ‘Paul would be so embarrassed of this.’ And I looked up at the sky, and I said, ‘Well, tough luck pal,'” his father said .
