Sean Connery was born in the capital of Edinburgh, Scotland , into a working-class family and neighborhood.
Much of Sean’s younger life was spent doing menial labor jobs for minimal pay. He quit school early and began working full time.

As odd as it may seem, Sean has only one Oscar statue to his name. He won Best Supporting Actor for his work in The Untouchables back in 1988.

At one point, he was being considered for the role of Gandalf in *The Lord Of The Rings*.
