The internet is full of Photoshop fails .
While celebs are usually guilty of this, that’s not always the case. In fact, sometimes they are the ones that hate on it the most!
Sometimes, they had nothing to do with their air-touched nip and tuck — and they’re not afraid to let you know it.
Here are 10+ celebs who condemn others for using Photoshop.
1. Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga has never been one to hold back, and she never will.
When she accepted an award at Glamour’s 2013 Women of the Year Awards, she made sure to speak up about the Photoshopping done ironically on her Glamour magazine cover.

“I felt my skin looked too perfect. I felt my hair looked too soft,” said the star.
“I do not look like this when I wake up in the morning… I don’t even look like this,” referring to her wig and makeup for the night.
She then called upon magazines to change.
2. Meghan Trainor
The singer wasn’t all about that Photoshop when she noticed that her body had been edited in the music video for “Me Too.”
When this happened, she took down the video until the video editors edited her body back to normal. Go, Meghan!
While not exactly a publication, it was still important for her to do this.
3. Beyoncé
The singer’s come under fire for allegedly pPhotoshopping her own photos several times. But when it came to H&M doing that to her, she was up in arms.
A source told The Sun how Bey reacted when she learned that they edited her bikini photos.
“When Beyoncé found out they had edited the way her body really looked, she hit the roof.”
“She’s a true diva and was furious that she had been given such a snubbing. Her people refused to give the pictures the green light so H&M were forced to use the originals.”
4. Ashley Benson
The Pretty Little Liars alum took offense to this promotional photo of her and her co-stars being so heavily edited.
“Saw this floating around….hope it’s not the poster,” she wrote. “Our faces in this were from 4 years ago…..and we all look ridiculous.”
“Way too much Photoshop. We all have flaws. No one looks like this. It’s not attractive.”
Ashley’s co-star, Troian Bellisario, shared her similar thoughts on Instagram:
“Wow @itsashbenzo I couldn’t agree more. Very cool concept as always. But aren’t we attractive enough women as we are? Why can’t we just look like us. Once.”
5. Keira Knightley
When posters for the movie King Arthur came out, there was something different about Keira’s chest.
It was edited to appear noticeably bigger, a fact that the actress quickly made known.
“Those things certainly weren’t mine,” she said .
Then, when she was asked to pose topless for *Interview Magazine*, she agreed, but on one condition: the photos couldn’t be edited.
She said :
“OK, I’m fine doing the topless shot so long as you don’t make them any bigger or retouch.’ Because it does feel important to say it really doesn’t matter what shape you are.”
6. Zendaya
The actress won’t let magazines pull a fast one on her. When she discovered that Modeliste magazine had heavily edited her body, she took to Instagram to call them out.
“Had a new shoot come out today and was shocked when I found my 19 year old hips and torso quite manipulated,” she began.
“These are the things that make women self conscious, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have,” she wrote.
“Anyone who knows who I am knows I stand for honest and pure self love. So I took it upon myself to release the real pic (right side) and I love it.”
In the end, the magazine removed the pictures.
7. Gisele Bundchen
As one of the top models in the world, she’s used to Photoshop being a part of the industry.
But that hasn’t stopped her from speaking out against it.
She even once worked with creative director Johan Lindeberg on a campaign for BLK DNM since she wanted him to highlight her natural look .
“I love his approach because I feel like women should be really real and raw and it doesn’t really happen anymore [in fashion photographs],” she said.
“I love that feeling of, you know, we are women, we are so different, our imperfections are what make us unique and beautiful. He gets that. He’s not trying to retouch you or put a pretty light on you.”
8. Kate Winslet
The Titantic actress loves her curves and wouldn’t want to change it. She loves her body thank you very much!
So when her 2003 GQ magazine cover was heavily edited to make her look slimmer, she spoke out against it, calling the retouching “excessive.”
“I do not look like that and more importantly I don’t desire to look like that,” she said.
As a body-positive advocate, she made sure to clarify that she’s very happy with her body the way it is.
“I can tell you they’ve reduced the size of my legs by about a third. For my money it looks pretty good the way it was taken.”
9. Jennifer Lawrence
She’s one of the most down-to-earth celebs out there, so of course, she blew the whistle on her own photoshopped Dior ad photos . She isn’t really someone who cares about what she says.
“Of course it’s Photoshop; people don’t look like that,” she told Access Hollywood .
10. Brad Pitt
It’s not just female celebs who have spoken out against Photoshop.
When Pitt was asked to appear on the cover of W magazine, he asked to be photographed by Chuck Close, a photographer known for exposing skin flaws and features.
11. Jameela Jamil
In 2019, the self-described “feminist in progress” spoke to the BBC about wanting to ban any kind of editing of photos in the entertainment industry.
“I think it’s a disgusting tool that has been weaponized, predominantly against women,” she wrote.
She continued: “And is responsible for so many more problems than we realize because we are blinded by the media, our culture and our society.”
“I suffered from eating disorders as a teenager and so I know how damaging “perfect” images in magazines can be.”
