A wholesome pic is good. A wholesome pic with a wholesome backstory is even better because, that’s like, twice the amount of wholesomeness.
If the weight of the world is getting you down, take a moment and go through this list. You’ll be glad you did.

It can be tough to build up enough capital to put yourself in a position to hire yourself, but not every business needs to start big. There’s nowhere to go but up for this entrepreneur.

I’d imagine that, for awhile at least, it was painful for this man’s kids to see this image. But in time, it probably became a comfort to know they could go on Google Maps to see him.
“Today my wife is officially under 200 lbs and I was finally able to do a chin up for the first time in my life.”
It’s great to see a couple push each other to meet their goals. You can just see the satisfaction in their faces.
“This child’s beautiful Avengers memorial for Black Panther.”
When I was a kid, I arranged my action figures in absolutely stupid dioramas to commemorate meaningless stuff that I made up. This kid appears to actually have a conscience, so good on him.
“Six months ago I posted on r/askmen asking how the single guys living alone were doing. I received many responses including a PM asking how I was doing. We began messaging, texting, and eventually having phone conversations. Today we finally met in person in Long Beach, California!”
It’s incredible to see how people can use the internet to shrink distances and forge meaningful friendships. Remember this the next time the internet seems like a bleak place.

It’s always energizing, and a bit touching, when you visit a loved one to find that they were just as excited for the visit as you were.

Eating disorders are difficult, painful habits that can seem impossible to fix. I’m not sure what this guy’s secret is, but the contrast between these two pics is a sight to behold.

The goal of having kids, broadly speaking, is to create humans who had more opportunities than you did. In that context, it’s safe to say that these parents did a great job in raising their daughter.

In any context, this is a really cool story of one person bettering herself. But I really like the way you can view her journey through these ID cards. I wonder where she’ll be in another 10 years.

It looks like her pandemic started the exact same way as mine did: with constant exercising and a pledge to get better. My resolve broke after two weeks, but it’s nice to see that some people followed through.

This is a next-level way of combating poaching. It’s difficult to protect each individual rhino, but if you can make the price of its horn as low as possible, it’s a way to undercut the market.

I wonder how this played out in real-time. I like to think that her whole team was celebrating wildly over her big win while she was still squinting and trying to make out the numbers on the scoreboard.
“Don’t really have anyone to celebrate with, so I thought I’d share with you guys. I’m one year sober!”
It’s a humble celebration, but a very worthy one nonetheless. We should all bust out a cupcake in honor of this guy.

It’s always interesting to see how the subjects of viral photos have turned out. This guy looked pretty bummed in the original pic, so it’s nice to see that he’s happier now, thanks to Pakistan’s world-class cricket team.

Not enough people take the time to express how much certain gestures mean to them. If you were this hairdresser, this letter would almost certainly make your day. The story’s a bit heartbreaking for sure, but also quite sweet.

This is a nice story, I suppose, but that’s predicated on the assumption that the security guard wanted to hear this concert. If they didn’t, then this scenario just kind of forced them to sit politely through the performance.

Pics like this are precisely the reason I’ve never volunteered at an animal shelter. Working around adorable animals all day, it would be tough not to come home with one from time to time.
