I know, I know, you kind of expect dirt on the internet, don’t you? It’s hard to avoid out there. It’s right up there with unsolicited advice and awkward memes. And even hints of raciness get amplified and piled onto in quick succession.
So it was a pleasant surprise when one woman’s “dirty” comment turned into a reasonably wholesome experience that was, honestly, hilarious.
Olivia Corcoran probably had no idea what she was starting with a simple, eight-word tweet.

It wasn’t the sort of profound or even controversial statement that sets off Twitter wars — it was just an appreciation of something she likes.
“Boys in there [sic] dirty work gear. Nothing sexier,” she wrote.
Yeah, that started a whole…thing. Basically, Twitter unloaded on her.
But the flood wasn’t exactly what you’d expect.
Or, I suppose if you’re literal-minded, then yes, it was exactly what you think. Workmen, in their work gear — dirty or otherwise — absolutely inundated her thread with pics.
And, honestly, well done, fellows.
No surprise, her tweet took off.
The retweets ran into the thousands, and the likes were up over 23,000 at the time of writing.
I mean, you had to know that dudes were going to both have their fun with this and low-key try to impress her, right?
They’ve already got the work gear, it was going to get dirty on the job anyway, so why not, right?
Seriously, dozens and dozens of pics and vids came in, with coveralls and high-vis vests everywhere.
And you’d better believe there was dancing. Moves were busted and rugs were cut by guys working in just about every profession you can think of, from construction to painters to kitchen workers.
I guess the bright side for Olivia here is she has plenty of choice if she is indeed looking for a man.
And they all appear to have jobs! Unless of course their goofing around got them laid off.
And the other nice thing is that Olivia seems to have had as much fun with it as the dudes.
Even if she didn’t expect this kind of reaction, it doesn’t seem to be unwelcome at all. Considering the sorts of pics all too many women receive on the internet, this thread was pretty cool.
So, even though she wasn’t explicitly asking for “dirty” pics in her thread, how could she be disappointed?
In fact, she said that the pics “made her life.”
Credit to the guys who stepped up to add some lighthearted dirt to the internet!
