The ball is officially rolling on the latest season of Love Island , and fans can’t help but notice one of the contestant’s legs, after some footage of them looking abnormally small surfaced on Twitter.
Okay, so, what exactly is “Love Island”? Great question.
In a nutshell, it’s a British, reality TV show where a number of contestants are thrown into a house as some kind of social experiment to see who pairs up with who.
It’s the kind of show you watch to distract yourself from the problems in your own love-life.
It’s not far off from other reality dating shows, like The Bachelor , Bachelor in Paradise , and MTV’s Are You The One? .
Anyway, one of the contestants this season, Tommy Fury, is becoming a bit of a laughing stock.
The 20-year-old boxer is being harshly criticized on Twitter — after some unflattering shots of his legs went viral.
For example, people are comparing his legs to Gru from “Despicable Me”.
As well as other fictional characters with exaggerated body-to-leg-size ratios.
Obviously, his legs aren’t that small in real life. But the shot of him that’s going around the web could have fooled me.
What are thooooooose?
One fan tweeted: “I can’t be the only person who can’t deal with Tommy’s toothpick legs.”
While the majority of others simply joked that he looks like he has skipped leg day one too many times.
“Is Tommy Fury an actual Sparrow?! Those [expletive] legs,” another person wrote.
Some people were just straight to the point — telling it like it is.
Once you catch a glimpse of Tommy’s legs, they will forever be cemented in your brain.
Let this be a reminder to all of you that are hitting the gym on a regular basis: Leg day is a very important day.
“Is that Tommy or Crazy Legs off Don’t be a menace?,” someone else tweeted.
People are getting impressively creative with their comparisons — not gonna lie.
Some fans have defended Tommy, by pointing out that boxers don’t use their legs much.
“Yeah your not using ur legs for boxing. It’s your hips, core and your the torque u generate gives you the power,” they wrote. “Boxing u don’t use much leg other then for quickness and bounce.”
“Proving boxers have a tiniest legs in all of combat sports,” someone replied.
Other fans poked fun at Tommy by sharing gifs of cartoon characters with skinny legs.
What can I say? Some things you can never un-see.
Tommy’s legs are two of those things.
Don’t get me wrong. He’s still very handsome. But we can’t not notice those legs.
“Why do Tommy’s legs look so small I can’t BREATHE,” a fan wrote.
Another person pointed out that it runs in the family, because Tommy’s brother, apparently, also has slim legs.
His brother has skinny legs as well,” they wrote.
One fan actually compared Tommy’s legs to Deadpool.
“Pretty sure the camera man on love island is trying to show @VancityReynolds that he doesn’t need cgi for the legs regrowing scene in deadpool,” someone said.
So, yeah, you guys get the picture.

Those camera angles really did not do him any favors. But at least we’ve got some hilarious new joke-material out of it.
In all seriousness, his legs really aren’t that bad.
And it’s never nice to make fun of people’s bodies. We really just couldn’t help ourselves this one time.
